I’m na new Subaru Forester owner. Really appreciate you with this videos! I’m planning to upgrade my lights in the future and these videos really are helping me a lot. Thank you! 🙏🏼
great video thank you.doing this now.like you waiting on a oem switch and because i watched this a relay.thankyou i wouldnt have been lost wondering why they didnt work.thought the relay would be under the hood.
@@sarahtraeger1634 Yes, but you need the OEM switch and relay to make it work like factory assuming the kit wires right up to the factory fog light harness.
Thanks! Yea I’m glad I went this route over a 225/65/17. I saw one in person with the 225/65/17 and it just didn’t have the look I wanted. These did. But I should have that video up and posted within a week or so
Fantastic video w/details. Walkthrough style install is easy to follow. Nice choice on the amber light. Not going to LED? I originally installed an OLM set of LEDS (not impressed w/failures) with the full wiring kit and accessory switch. Upgraded to Diode Dynamics SS3 direct fit and had to do what you did here - order the fog light switch and relay. Switch/relay/factory wiring is the way to go - just like you showed. Clean - works perfectly. Thank you again - no walkthrough videos out back when I did mine. Great video!
Bro my apologies for not responding! I thought I got everyone but this slipped through the cracks! Thanks for the kid. Words! I may go LED one day but was on a budget
You can just run a straight wire from the battery through a fuse and a switch to the light, or even better something controlled via a relay that only closes when the key is on.
Well figured instead of getting expensive led fog pods I could get the OEM style set up and get some decent led fog bulbs later. Just budget friendly option Bc I only have so much I can spend and have some other goals for the Foz that need funding lol
@@WEEKENDWNDR3RS got you) so i will install pair of led on my bumper guard. And I am just ordered replica of Rally Armour mud flaps)) cant wait to install
Well, I started the channel after I did the retrofit so I won’t have a step by step visual breakdown of how I did it but Yes I’m gonna use the few pictures I took during the process and some new video of the completed product to try and explain and break it down the best I can.
@@WEEKENDWNDR3RS I had bought a kit from subispeed that has you put in a different switch and it comes with its own wiring. Did you get a foglight kit directly from subaru that uses the factory stuff? I may be doing a return soon lmao.

Thanks! This will make the job much easier on my Forester, not going to bother trying to install with the harness that came in my kit.
did your lights work without installing the wiring kit? mine aren't :(

Nice install. Looking forward to your wheel/tire fitment video. I was gonna do 225 65 17 like everyone else but you have me thinking lol

Do you know if there’s anything you can do to prevent the fog lights from turning off when you turn your highbeams on?
You can just run a straight wire from the battery through a fuse and a switch to the light, or even better something controlled via a relay that only closes when the key is on.
Can you post the links to every think you bought for this ?
Very impressive vid as a whole!
Great job!
Thank you for the kind words!
Perfect video
Also, where did you get your fog light lenses?
Nice
Thanks broski!
Didn't mentioned that you haven't it before. Good job. Why not a LED lights??

What paint you used for the chrome housing? I hate chrome.
Rustoleum professional satin black
Do you plan on doing a video on how you did the headlights?

No problem! Hope it helped
What kit did you use that plugs into the factory stuff?
What part? The wiring is all already there. It’s just taped up. You just have to cut the tape and tap into it
