Anyone that was watching the Mets from 2013-2015 knows this guy was such a big reason they turned it all around. Gosh he was special. I think I speak for all Mets fans when we say best of luck in San Diego! :)
@@mauriciosantana125 Luis Castillo was productive offensively in his career, mainly as a number 2 guy. And he had a good year for the Mets in 2009. Timo Perez amd Jay Payton became a sensation for the Mets because they both hit for the Mets in the 2000 postseasons. But in 2001, they were mostly backups since they couldnt hit.
Coming back here after years. With nimmo's defense improving rapidly, he may have a shot at a gold glove. But nothing beats watching lagares play center
Watching these highlights makes me miss playing in center. I covered a lot of ground out there but did not have an arm like Lagares. As a Mets fan, he’s one of my favorite players. Hopefully he can stay healthy and hit well enough to have a full time role
For a build and frame like his..this dude can field..Shame how the league and fans view and determine a player's value due to his offensive stats..but I would take a player with his defensive prowess any day..so underrated
Keith in the background just laughing is the best part of each highlight
Best defensive CF in the National League when he's healthy.
It's ridiculous how many great plays there are in this reel

absolutely.
Gary Cohen “and he runs it down” compilation
Ned H no it should be and he made the catch
“Where extra base hits go to die” Gary Cohen.
Perfect quote
Best defensive center fielder the Mets have ever had!!!!!!
If only he could hit, he would be an all star.
He's been doing pretty well since becoming a starter again tbh...
@@Sammy_Sukliash yeah no
Luis Castillo amid Rosario Rey ordoñez timo Perez Jae Payton all these all time Mets defensive machines could never ever hit
Anderson Hernandez another good Mets defender

I could watch a whole day worth of his highlights.
I love outfield assists. There's nothing like it.
This video is 9:11. Somebody call NINE JUAN JUAN
Cory Van Treuren cqzx
How does his only have 29 likes?
I just love Keith’s laugh after. That’s your validation that it was a good catch and or he was paying attention.
Alex Trebek: Juan Lagares runs THIS down.
Answer: What is "it"?
If he can get back to hitting in the .270-.280 range he'd be a top 10 CF
Very underrated player

That was incredible. Lagares and Gary Cohen is perfection

If some of these plays look routine, it’s because he’s running 75 mph to get to the ball
Man those injuries really hurt his prospects, because there was a moment in time where he was batting decently... Such an incredible fielder to watch.
Two things that feel amazing in baseball as an outfielder 1. Hitting a no doubter 2. A outfield assist at home to save a run
i like how he catches it, takes a step, then dives
I wonder how many of those 3rd Base coaches still have a job.
8:29 wow... Just wow. Great video btw!
I don't get why the mets don't use Lagares a lot. He is a good contact hitter and an amazing fielder.
Aedan Choi he can't stay healthy
Ninja be like he is stream sniping the ball
I want this guy to be a met in 2019
Juan thing is for certain-the Mets will miss him in the outfield!
With his amazing glove, if he continues to hit well this season he could be an all star.
I was at the game in pittsburgh in the 2nd clip. we lost via walkoff but that game was incredible
What’s wild is that he was an infielder that they sent out to center without any significant reps.
RIP Juan
Great defensive player
"He runs it down"
Top-notch editing. You should teach a class for the other ewe-toobers who post such videos

um52 I know man, if a team is up late in the game, put him in he’s great at defense
"Where extra base hits go to die"
A magician
Constanza con Tigo bro
He reminds me of Andruw Jones so much
Nicely edited video.
It’s weird how many of these are against the pirates seeing that they’re not in the same division
What about the diving catch he made in Miami?
Juanny Beisbol!
Orgullo constancero ; RD, A,C,C.
He’s so great defensively but he can’t hit to save his life. Even if he hit for great average and maybe like 20 homers a year he’d be an all star.
Where’s the one where mid dive he hit the ball up with his glove and caught it again
3:48 is smooth
I don't know how he's only won one gold glove. In my opinion, Lagares and Kevin Pillar are the best defensive center fielders in the MLB.
How? He has a hard time staying on the field. If he can stayed healthy he could have won several...
Anybody else here because Gary just mentioned Juan?
Shades of Willy Mays.
We probably would've won the world series if he was starting in cf
Padres just snagged him for 2020. If he can hit 275 we got something real good
It’s not “it only takes Juan Lagares” it’s “where extra base hits go to die”
william morris dude it’s in parentheses it’s separated , read lol
punbelievable
Thought u were about to leave that play in philly out
Well, too bad he's hurt
Where Extra Base hits go to die
9 juan juan
NEXT TO WILLIE MAYS......GREATEST GLOVE EVER. and by the way......there is no REEL on the internet of WILLIE MAYS or dimaggio catches....weird.
