my second year at uni: what i've learnt

when i uploaded my first year reflections video a little over a year ago, i didn't expect to make this an annual thing. but i quite liked the idea of taking time to reflect at the end of each academic year, considering what lessons each one has taught me and being able to put them somewhere where i can look back on them as i get older. after all, it is just four fleeting years, but so much happens in them and i kind of like the idea of giving myself such an honest, authentic and indisputable insight from the time itself. like a time capsule of each of my uni years.
so here it is, this year's instalment. second year felt much more settled than first, and i was kind of worried that i wouldn't actually have anything to say in this video. but that's the beauty of reflecting on it - it brings out parts of the year and feelings that i wouldn't have otherwise realised or given any time to. and gathering all the clips together from throughout my year is a very comforting process, it feels like bookending the year so that I can move onto the next with some clarity and closure, with some certainty and space.
the next chapter is obviously going to look quite different, being on the verge of moving to germany. i wanted to get this up before i left for that exact reason - i didn't want it lingering or dragging out. it's a little later than last year, and a little later than i would've liked too, but it's here now. time to bookend that chapter. onto the next..
not sure what's coming, both in my life and content-wise. obviously a lot of that will be dictated by how the move goes, how long it takes to settle, and how much time i have to edit. but best believe there's so much in the pipeline that it's practically bursting. so there'll definitely be something coming, just no promises that it will be soon. so see you whenever that ends up being, hopefully soon-ish. maybe. :)
