I replayed this part of the finale so much, I love how you can see Aabria trying to process it when she replied "huh" and how proud of himself Jasper is when laughing
I also wanna give serious props to the editor for the comedy of this moment too - the choice of timing the camera cuts, ending the music right before Jasper talks, etc. it's perfection.
It's particularly ironic as a Brit hearing Brennan compare Jasper's refusal to sending food back to the kitchen in a restaurant. aka: quite possibly the most terrifying social faux-pas any British person could think of. I think if I even heard a stranger on the next table over do that I would have to exuse myself out of second-hand embarrassment.
My mum IS that person on the next table. It's usually completely reasonable stuff (like the food being cold or uncooked), but then she rants on to the waiter about how unacceptable it is while the rest of the family's just sat there like 😐
Istg I’ve seen Brennan’s players do this to him before and it must have been incredible to experience from the PC side 😂 I feel like Ally, Zac, and Emily are the people I remember most going like “no u don’t have to do that :) no thanks” These good folks. These beans
Having listened to Jasper on the Games and Feelings podcast get ribbed for being so good at bluffing that people sometimes genuinely can’t tell when he’s lying or joking (so much so that he’s banned from playing One Night Werewolf at Big Bad Con), I saw this and was like “oh there it is!” He is too good! Love it!
The accent reminded me of the American Dad episode where Steve meets a British boy in an island resort who keeps making increasingly stupid and life threatening decisions that Steve always goes along with because he sounds authoritive
💀💀💀💀💀 holy shit this dude I really thought he had a spell or something to stop it amazing. I might just have given that to him: like, "you know what, you passed the charisma check literally irl, congrats. The lair action loses its turn!" 😂😂😂

The very soft and genuine "huh?" got to me. Great tactic to throw your DM off their game xD
As a child of a RP voiced British father. Oh how perfect this is. Power word kill of "settle down now".
power word stun "Steady on."
"Quite!"
Power Word Discourage
@@OnTheAlmondTreeOof! Ok now you just triggered me. I have to call my dad.
power word “pack it in”
I so desperately love how Aabria immediately turns to Brennan. She needed that back up from a fellow DM cause she was so fucking thrown off.
And the fact that Jasper is a DM as well made it even funnier
jasper rolled a nat 20 persuasion in real life

Yes! Same as the:
"2000 stoats"
"ha, add a zero"
"2,000 zero stoats?!"
Jasper is a delight
Jasper was a guest on the Oxventure's Deadlands campaign as a celebrity cowboy and he completely stole the show, too!
i desperately want more jasper on d20 seasons, the moments like these made me adore him and the way he plays characters
I love how Siobhan never lets us forget how she feels about the British
this is the first time where I've seen Aabria just be full on surprised speechless, like, complete stop on all thoughts, trying to process
words cant express how much i LOVE what genuine fun Brennan looked to be having here
I was basically rolling on the floor laughing over the look on Aabria's face after he said it 😂
This was just instantly iconic. Jasper is such a wonderful addition to D20.
😂 "Check it out check it out check it out --"
He made it seem like he had a spell to literally stop Lair actions 🤣🤣🤣

I've literally been served an uncooked pizza (the mozerella hadn't even melted) and still gave it a try before my friends told me to send it back
@@Sootielove this is the way

@@tuxedobike4067 see, even just imagining myself at that table I can feel the nuclei of my cells trying to escape my body out of sheer awkwardness.
This was so real. Like this is the kind of thing I would say on impulse so the fact Jasper knew to say it in this powerful a moment was so good.

sir jasper william cartwright was so amazing on this season, i can't wait to see what other content he makes
Her "Huh" with those big eyes. x'D I'm dying
I think this is my favourite moment of the whole season.

I feel Brennan laughs so hard cause Emily does this to him all the time 😂
He definitely caught on a full three seconds before anyone else did! 😂
I just keep coming back to this & it's just as good as the first time, every time
Thaaaaaaaaaaank you for clipping this because this was my favourite moment lmao XD
