There is no catridge in this. You need to replace with a new one. If you want a filter with catridge refill then you can use PURIFIT or Waterscience Washing Machine Filter with catridge replacement available in amazon. I already have the link for those products in the description.

Again it all depends on the quality of the inlet water. If the tds is on the higher side then life depends but if it's normal then it goes till 2 yrs
