I appreciate you trying to understand the golden temple of Amritsar but I hope you know that the foundation of darbar sahib was layed by the fifth mortal form of guru Nanak, guru Arjan dev Ji.
@@raath_sikh and it's not golden temple , you can't translate the noun (name), Just like macca is macca in all languages, it's Gurudwara Shri Harmandir Sahib in all languages, it's not temple, there is no Guru in temple , and where there is Guru Sahib it's Gurudwara (homw of Guru), gurudwara is place of Guru Sahib , temple is worshiped place of god in hindus, Sikhs don't worship god in Gurudwara they believe in Simran (meditation on God's name ) which can be done anywhere.
Sri Harmandir Sahib is not a gurdwara. It is a request to everyone including some Sikhs that don't call Sri Harmandir Sahib a gurdwara. A gurdwara has it's own rules and rituals. Harmandir Sahib is the abode of Supreme God, where Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the King and the Granthis are his ministers. It is the place of devotion, that is why there is no Nagara there and the the 'Sat Sri Akal' jaikara is never raised there. Both of these rituals take place at Sri Akal Takht Sahib, which is the throne of the Timeless Supreme God. Every Day, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is brought inside Sri Harmandir Sahib from the bedroom at Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Devotees decorate the palanquin with fresh flowers and throw flower petals as a sign of respect. A royal fly whisk called Chaur Sahib is waved on Guru Sahib by the Chaurbardar. When the palanquin reaches at the main door of Sri Harmandir Sahib, Guru Granth Sahib Ji is taken inside by the Granthi while the palanquin remains outside only. Now some fixed devotees of the city come and recite Bhatta De Swaiye (which were written by 11 Bhatts in praise of first five Sikh Gurus.) After that, the Granthi reads the Hukumnama (order of the day) from any random ang (the pages of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji are called Ang as a sign of respect). After that the Kirtan starts again. The Kirtan here inside is started almost two hours before the Prakash (opening ceremony) of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. These rules are different from that of a gurdwara. Please understand.

First sit equally in row with everyone for Langar then Sangat (meeting with Guru Sahib for divine discussions): "Pehlain Pangat, Paashe Sangat" by Third Guru Amar Das ji. In 1569, Emperor Akbar, being an admirer of Sikh religion, visited Punjab to meet Guru Amar Das while on his way to Lahore from Delhi. The Mughal king was accompanied by the Raja of Haripur and both of them were cordially received by Guru Amar Das and his followers. Akbar was very much keen on witnessing how the langar was run, and was pleased to know that the kitchen served food to all people irrespective of caste and class. It remained open day and night. Travellers, beggars, and strangers, as well as the followers of the Guru, were all served with food. Whatever was left was thrown to the cattle and birds so that nothing was wasted. The Guru had given an order that all persons coming to visit his place must have their food in the Langar (when hungry). There they were to sit in rows (Pangat) as equals and were to be served simple food in turn. Akbar and the Rajah of Haripur took their meals in the Guru's Langar. They sat among the common people in a row as the Sikhs served them food. They enjoyed the simple food and were very happy. Akbar liked the working of the Guru's Langar very much. Before leaving, Akbar said to the Guru, "I like Guru Nanak's religion very much and I respect you for your teachings. I want to make a grant of land for running the Langar. Would you mind it!". The Third Guru Sahib, Guru Amar Das ji replied,
"Dear Akbar, I am very glad you like the path of Baba Nanak. I am also grateful to you for your offer of a grant of land for the Langar, but I am sorry I cannot accept it, because the Guru likes all to work hard to earn (Kirt Karni) and to share their honest earnings (Wand Chakna) with others, by giving something to the Langar from their honest earnings to help others. As such, the Guru's langar is the people's (Sangat's) Langar and it must be run on people's free gifts and not on a royal grant. That is why all share equally in the Guru's Langar and no one is looked upon as an outsider. In the Guru's Langar, each gives as much as we can spare and takes as much as he/she needs. Here, there is no difference between kings and beggars. All sit together; and eat simple food served with loving care." Akbar liked and accepted the Guru’s point of view. But Akbar had made up his mind to do something for the house of Nanak. So he gave the land of Amritsar to Bibi Bhani, the daughter of Guru Amar Das, who was recently married to the next light bearer Guru Ram Das ji, as a wedding gift. On the direction of Guru Amar Das, his son-in-law Guru Ram Das founded the city of Amritsar upon the land gifted by Akbar. Langar, in Persian word translates as 'an almshouse', 'an asylum for the poor and the destitute', 'a public kitchen once kept by a great man for his followers and dependents, holy persons and the needy.' Some scholars trace word langar in Sanskrit as: cooking room of holy. The function of Sewa: volunteers doing selfless service, results in a community feeling in peoples' minds as they drop their mask of ego. The feeling of "I" or "me" is forgotten as they perform this valuable service to humanity. A Sikh is under a religious obligation to contribute one-tenth of his earnings (daswand) for the welfare of the community. He must also contribute the service of his hands whenever he can, service rendered in a langar or any other welfare being meritorious. Guru Gobind Sahib ji also said he will not hold the arm of sikh, who did not contributed to Daswand because that sikh has deviated from the "path of Guru Nanak of community service" to a path greed and hoarding of wealth. The last words of Guru Gobind Singh before before he passed on his light in Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji at Nanded were, Keep the langar ever open. One of the lines in Guru ji's Dasam Granth reads: “Deg tegh jag me dou chalai-may langar (charity) and sword (instrument of securing justice) together prevail in the world.” The first Sikh coin minted in the eighteenth century carried the Guru's maxim in Persian: “Deg tegh fateh"-may langar and sword be ever triumphant.”
One who works for what he eats, and gives some of what he has - O Nanak, he knows the Path.(1) (Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji- page:1245))

Sri Harmandir Sahib is not a gurdwara. It is a request to everyone including some Sikhs that don't call Sri Harmandir Sahib a gurdwara. A gurdwara has it's own rules and rituals.
Harmandir Sahib is the abode of Supreme God, where Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the King and the Granthis are his ministers. It is the place of devotion, that is why there is no Nagara there and the the 'Sat Sri Akal' jaikara is never raised there. Both of these rituals take place at Sri Akal Takht Sahib, which is the throne of the Timeless Supreme God.
Every Day, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is brought inside Sri Harmandir Sahib from the bedroom at Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Devotees decorate the palanquin with fresh flowers and throw flower petals as a sign of respect. A royal fly whisk called Chaur Sahib is waved on Guru Sahib by the Chaurbardar. When the palanquin reaches at the main door of Sri Harmandir Sahib, Guru Granth Sahib Ji is taken inside by the Granthi while the palanquin remains outside only. Now some fixed devotees of the city come and recite Bhatta De Swaiye (which were written by 11 Bhatts in praise of first five Sikh Gurus.) After that, the Granthi reads the Hukumnama (order of the day) from any random ang (the pages of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji are called Ang as a sign of respect). After that the Kirtan starts again.
The Kirtan here inside is started almost two hours before the Prakash (opening ceremony) of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
These rules are different from that of a gurdwara. Please understand.

You only worship, besides Allah, idols, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you worship besides Allah do not possess for you [the power of] provision. So seek from Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned."

First sit equally in row with everyone for Langar then Sangat (meeting with Guru Sahib for divine discussions): "Pehlain Pangat, Paashe Sangat"
by Third Guru Amar Das ji. In 1569, Emperor Akbar, being an admirer of Sikh religion, visited Punjab to meet Guru Amar Das while on his way to Lahore from Delhi. The Mughal king was accompanied by the Raja of Haripur and both of them were cordially received by Guru Amar Das and his followers. Akbar was very much keen on witnessing how the langar was run, and was pleased to know that the kitchen served food to all people irrespective of caste and class. It remained open day and night.
Travellers, beggars, and strangers, as well as the followers of the Guru, were all served with food.
Whatever was left was thrown to the cattle and birds so that nothing was wasted.
The Guru had given an order that all persons coming to visit his place must have their food in the Langar (when hungry). There they were to sit in rows (Pangat) as equals and were to be served simple food in turn. Akbar and the Rajah of Haripur took their meals in the Guru's Langar. They sat among the common people in a row as the Sikhs served them food. They enjoyed the simple food and were very happy. Akbar liked the working of the Guru's Langar very much. Before leaving, Akbar said to the Guru, "I like Guru Nanak's religion very much and I respect you for your teachings. I want to make a grant of land for running the Langar. Would you mind it!".
The Third Guru Sahib, Guru Amar Das ji replied,
"Dear Akbar, I am very glad you like the path of Baba Nanak. I am also grateful to you for your offer of a grant of land for the Langar, but I am sorry I cannot accept it, because the Guru likes all to work hard to earn (Kirt Karni) and to share their honest earnings (Wand Chakna) with others, by giving something to the Langar from their honest earnings to help others. As such, the Guru's langar is the people's (Sangat's) Langar and it must be run on people's free gifts and not on a royal grant.
That is why all share equally in the Guru's Langar and no one is looked upon as an outsider. In the Guru's Langar, each gives as much as we can spare and takes as much as he/she needs. Here, there is no difference between kings and beggars. All sit together; and eat simple food served with loving care."
Akbar liked and accepted the Guru’s point of view. But Akbar had made up his mind to do something for the house of Nanak. So he gave the land of Amritsar to Bibi Bhani, the daughter of Guru Amar Das, who was recently married to the next light bearer Guru Ram Das ji, as a wedding gift. On the direction of Guru Amar Das, his son-in-law Guru Ram Das founded the city of Amritsar upon the land gifted by Akbar.
Langar, in Persian word translates as 'an almshouse', 'an asylum for the poor and the destitute', 'a public kitchen once kept by a great man for his followers and dependents, holy persons and the needy.' Some scholars trace word langar in Sanskrit as: cooking room of holy. The function of Sewa: volunteers doing selfless service, results in a community feeling in peoples' minds as they drop their mask of ego. The feeling of "I" or "me" is forgotten as they perform this valuable service to humanity.
A Sikh is under a religious obligation to contribute one-tenth of his earnings (daswand) for the welfare of the community. He must also contribute the service of his hands whenever he can, service rendered in a langar or any other welfare being meritorious.
Guru Gobind Sahib ji also said he will not hold the arm of sikh, who did not contributed to Daswand because that sikh has deviated from the "path of Guru Nanak of community service" to a path greed and hoarding of wealth.
The last words of Guru Gobind Singh before before he passed on his light in Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji at Nanded were, Keep the langar ever open. One of the lines in Guru ji's Dasam Granth reads: “Deg tegh jag me dou chalai-may langar (charity) and sword (instrument of securing justice) together prevail in the world.” The first Sikh coin minted in the eighteenth century carried the Guru's maxim in Persian: “Deg tegh fateh"-may langar and sword be ever triumphant.”
One who works for what he eats, and gives some of what he has - O Nanak, he knows the Path.(1) (Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji- page:1245))
