I came 3 days in a row and I cleaned that machine with hot wash cycles, bleach, soda crystals (on separate washes) and cleaning the pump and drawer assembly out He still has the machine now and it is running like new.... easy when you know how

bootsowen Luckily here in Australia, the only Dyson crap we get are Vacuums, bladeless fans and bladeless fans for your hair. I think Aussies have now realised this over priced crap is overrated and comparable to much cheaper alternatives!

Listen you wouldn’t BELIEVE the shit I put my Dyson Small Balls vacuum through and it still runs lol. Like insane those things do not loose suction. I had a Kenmore roll behind vacuum that had the same suction and that never died. The vacuum part failed haha

The Dyson costed about 1200 £ (in 2001), whereas the Vestel-made Amica is currently sold for ca. 180 £. The question is: Do Dyson’s motors sound over six times quieter? ;-)
Having cleaned and restored a few of Dysons modern vacuums I am pretty certain that they won't do anything in steel that can be done cheaper with plastic. So many of their vacuums aren't designed to be repaired. This washer was a bit different, at about 20 years old it is not so bad, the tub being plastic is irrelevant. where the issue was was in the spiders. Have a look at the other videos I made about this machine. It is quite complex, but also quite simple. The spiders were badly corroded. This usually happens from too much detergent and not enough hot washes to flush the machine through. I have seen it on quite a few modern bosch machines too. Personally I can't see the point in contrarotation, but it was new at the time. As to money, there is a washing machine out there for every pocket, my eyes usually water at miele, not the new price, that is expensive, but the real scam with them is the cost of spares, I had a price of £250 for a heater element for a tumble dryer. another brand might have been about £30. They are so niche that you can't buy cheap chinese spares, so even though they are a top quality machine they still aren't worth fixing. I think that dyson washer was made in the UK. I would have thought that the spiders would have given out straight away on both machines when you think of the forces at work, you know, centrifugal/centripetal. It just goes to show you these things are much stronger than we give credit. Even the non Dyson faired well considering the abuse it took. And the spiders never gave out. Yet in time they would have failed because of either galvanic or chemical corrosion. I never will understand why washing machine spiders' are made from cast aluminium bolted to a steel drum or why manufacturers are not using ceramic bearings instead of steel. But I'm just a nobody!
