I think this is the 5th, maybe 6th, Turkey video I've watched in the last 2 to 3 weeks. And with each passing video, the desire to get a smoker (looking at a pellet smoker, since I'm a beginner) is getting stronger. I love your content, Joe, you're amazing.
Pellets grills aren't just for beginners it's all about technique. I know some seasoned vets with a offset smoker and their product doesn't taste as good as smoked meat on the pellet.
@@bulldozer51 dude, get one!! It's amazing! Especially if you like homemade food. It's not the real deal, but it's close enough for me! I've got two and I'm very happy with them since fire pits aren't allowed in the city here. I've got a pellet grill and a Bradley. Plenty enough for my needs. Happy smoking! (Btw, I started with a gas grill with wood chips and it was awesome).
I am pretty new to smoking. I got 2 turkeys this year. My wife roasted one today which was great as always and I have the second to try and smoke. Looking forward to it. Good luck.
Happy Thanksgiving Mr Joe! Smoking (2) breast from my local H-E-B. Just watching videos while I’m cooking to get inspiration and you surely do that for me sir. Thanks and much love from S.E. Tejas!!!!
Joe, another great video....will be making this tomorrow on the Lone Star. You should give Blue Plate Mayo a try.............it's made with egg yolks only, my favorite by far.
Hey Joe! Thanks for the tips and the video! I’m going to try wrapping like you did. We typically roll all the way through to 158 then pan it and cover with butter. I do have a question though. I have a Ben E Keith account and I never can figure out which turkey breast to get. So we always get it from another supplier. Wonder if you have any advice on which one this is?
Where's the lettuce. They were out of turkey breasts they were bone in. It's funny how they use mesquite on turkey, our deli has it I thought it was fantastic but I was nervous about smoking whole turkey on grill with it. Have you ever tried dry brining I want to try that this year. Lastly what temp would you use. I iused 325 last year. I've seen 225 275. I think Im going to do 275. Aaron Franklin put out video doing same method, he did whole turkey. Cook to 135, then smother with butter, he used 2 lbs of butter then wrapped took off at 158. I think he mentioned you could put it back on for crisper skin. Great Video Joe, Happy Thanksgiving
there's nothing like a turkey sandwich out of left over turkey on thanksgiving. i make mine with bread then dukes. add some bacon and provolone cheese too it.
Minus the huge amount of bread for a sammich, it looks awesome! Light bread, loads of meat, etc, or just skip the sammich and make some mashed taters n gravy. Can’t go wrong there.
Joe, Joe, Joe…no to the foil wrap. Or maybe suggest you wrap one and not the other. I’ve never wrapped them and like you pull them off at 158°F and they’re perfectly juicy. However, I do use an injection comprised of butter, garlic, and onion powder and 2 tablespoons of liquid smoke.
@@SmokinJoesPitBBQ wow the more you learn! Hopefully the wife didn't read this and I ruined your excuses for getting one! I know I'm lucky with having 10 smokers and being accused of only using them once a month 😂

I recommend Weber Kettle to begin with. You’ll learn how to manage a fire and it’s cheap! Makes great BBQ!

I love smoking Turkey breast and it's one of the only things I like mesquite with. I do 3 or 4 and slice thin with my slicer for lunch meat
It’s the best, store bought is so processed and really expensive too. 👍🏼
@SmokinJoesPitBBQ exactly

Bro, I'd have gone Dagwood! Lettuce, tomatoe, cheese, pickles, pickled jalapeño slices, and fresh Avocado with salt and pepper!
Yeah no doubt that’s a good sandwich but this is the way I enjoy mine. Thanks for watching
@SmokinJoesPitBBQ It looked good! Mouth was watering fosho! 😄

Thanks Joe! I'll be able crush my breast cook tmrw with these tips 🦃💯🇺🇸
Awesome buddy, good luck!

I’ve always used foil and they come out perfect. If you cook them without injecting, they could dry out.👍🏼
@ have you ever done smoked cream cheese?
Curious. Weights of each breast and smoking temperature, please and thank you.
Ok Joe, if you live in El Paso (right?!) why do you own a boat? 😂
Because some of the best fishing in the entire state of New Mexico is only a couple hours north. 😁👍🏼

@SmokinJoesPitBBQ you got me drooling Joe.
I just released last night a Crispy turkey wing video. I hope you can swing by.
Nice Video. Thanks. Hope that you have a Great Thanksgiving.

You probably cooked the most appetizing turkey breast I've seen. Sorry, I'll copy your technique!!! 😅
This is why I do this. Happy Thanksgiving 🍁
@@SmokinJoesPitBBQ our Thanksgiving was a while ago but I'll use it for Xmas if the smoker starts at all at -40F! ☺️☺️ And happy thanksgiving to you!!
