  • Turkey to join BRICS! It's official, Turkey is moving away from the EU and will move closer to BRICS, China, and Russia. Turkey has been a NATO member since 1952 and this is the first time we've seen a NATO member shift away from the US and EU and move closer to BRICS. What does this mean for the future of Europe and geopolitics around the world? Let's break it down!

Turkey can stay with the EU and NATO, why allow Erdogan the backstabber in BRICS?
As Chinese we shouldn't forget that Turkey supported Uyghur Terrorists in China for a very long time...
And China is not the only nation being stabbed by Turkey, Russia has been backstabbed plenty of times by Turkey too..
Also they oppress Kurds, helped Terrorists in Syria and even Helped IS Terrorists in Syria, Turkey helped NATO to invade Iraq...
As long as Erdogan the backstabber is leader, Turkey can never be trusted, they are proven backstabbers...

Even the Balkan countries, which stand to benefit less than Turkey, have attained membership, while Turkey's application has languished for years due to apprehensions surrounding right-wing and anti-Islamic sentiments. Additionally, there is a sense of arrogance preventing acknowledgment of the necessity of Turkey's membership. Despite Europe's apparent disregard, it's imperative to recognize Turkey's historical legacy as an Ottoman state with a management system rooted in millennia of Turkish governance. Turkey's resilience and strategic prowess, honed over centuries, underscore its capacity as a formidable and resolute actor.

@@DiogoJ1Russia has long called for a mutual security architecture (which was the basis of the 1997 Russia Ukraine Friendship Treaty). It's primarily the US pursuit of global hegemony thats led to over 20 years of interminable wars.
Circa 2001, the George W.Bush administration withdrew from the anti-ballistic missile treaty while pursuing and funding missile defence shield systems. Soon after that it announced a headstrong determination to expand NATO eastward, then launched the invasion of Iraq on bogus evidence. The US led military interventions in Serbia, Iraq and Libya rode roughshod over international law.
2007 in his Munich conference speech, Putin called for a strengthening of international law and called-out the West's increasingly belligerent foreign policy outlined in the Wolfowitz doctrine/Project for the New American Century. In 2008 the UK and USA manoeuvred to bring Ukraine and Georgia into NATO alignment - both, certainly at the time, key energy transit hubs - while showing outright indifference to a significant majority of Ukrainians opposed or agnostic about joining NATO. Lavrov privately expressed concern to his US counterparts that Ukraine could potentially descend into civil war. Both Bill Burns and Fiona Hill urged the Bush administration not to further expand NATO.
In 2014, the US actively sought regime change in Ukraine and aligned with ultranationalists. The Maidan massacre was essentially a false flag operation by Ukrainian ultranationalists according to a verdict handed down on Oct 18th 2023, by the Shviotoshyn District Court in Kiev. Right-Sector and Svoboda played a key role in that violence. Right-Sector claimed to have coordinated the Odessa Trade Unions Building massacre. Commander-in-chief Zaluzhnyi hired the former leader of Right-Sector Dmytro Yarosh in 2021. Yarosh said that Zelensky would be hung from a tree if he implemented the Minsk agreements - which Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted were a ploy in order to remilitarise Ukraine.
January 2022 Kiev intensified the shelling of Donbas. Within weeks of Russian intervention negotiations began in Istanbul, which senior Ukrainian negotiators acknowledged that Ukrainian military non alignment was the key Russian demand.
Trump ditched the INF nuclear arms treaty.

The EU didn't say a definite 'no' but kept stringing Türkiye along even though it isn't exactly a good fit with Europe. 97% of Türkiye is in Asia and the majority of its population is Muslim. So why did the EU keep playing with Türkiye? Well, I think that it has a lot to do with Nato. If Türkiye did not have such an important strategic location, would Nato be interested in it? Turkey guards the access to the Black Sea. It is on the Mediterranean Sea, and on the Asian side it borders Syria, Iraq, Iran, Armenia and Georgia, while on the European side it shares borders with Greece and Romania. A very useful location for Nato to exploit. Yes, a big welcome to BRICS, Türkiye!
