  • Welcome to Another Episode of Ring Them Bells.
    We exist to help you rediscover the Supernatural focus of your Bible.
    Many know this channel went on a pilgrimage to Portland last year for a Hebrew Bible Conference at Multnomah University.
    At the Conference I was blown away by Tim Mackie's teaching going over the book of Jonah.
    Tim showed how the Bible gives wisdom for us to expect a enemy from within our religious systems.
    Furthermore this wisdom reveals that, the least likely, the outcast, the foreigner, and those outside the religious structure seem to be more connected with "The Way" of God our Father.
    Enjoy!
    Buckle up and get ready for one of the most profound and enlightening discussions about the literary genius of scripture. We'll see how this points us to Jesus.

    I love me some Ray! My fav professor!! He came to my wedding, though I didn’t stand out as a student.
    Jesus wrecked me through his teachings. First class with him was Philosophy 101! I continually am so thankful that I got to take a philosophy class from an OT scholar that loves helping others think & impact culture from a biblical worldview!

    Very insightful, connecting the story of Jonah with Joshua and other scripture. I do get it. Seems the original language is needed for a deeper understanding. Thank you sirs!

    I enjoyed Mackie’s teaching. I’ve been doing this puzzle connecting with texts and language for several years now and teaching to a men’s group.
    However, Mackinac did an outstanding job with the Jonah narrative. I have never seen a good teaching on putting these puzzle pieces together like he did. This actually made me subscribe to your channel. Thanks.

    42 years of studying the Bible and it's fresher to me today than ever. It frightens me that the church can't seem to understand how close we are to the rapture, the desolation of Babylon, and the return of Yeshua. It’s all fulfilled. Watch and pray. Luke 21:24-28

    • @MrSeedi76
      @MrSeedi76 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Not so sure about that. Nobody knows when the world will end and not many of the signs have been fulfilled at all.

    • @TommyStahr
      @TommyStahr 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @MrSeedi76 guess it depends on your understanding of scripture. What still needs to be done? I will tell you how it's all fulfilled, if you care. Look at 2Thess2. Verse three, the fall of the church. Done. The lawless one here. Don. They believe THE LIE! What LIE? That Trump won. He lost. The church has lifted evil in Jesus name, as prophesied. America will burn because Christians trample Jesus blood & grace, living in lies, bigotry and idolatry. Rev 13:11-16 & 18 are America. Two horns like a lamb? Jesus is the Lamb. Right-wing Christians and Catholics think they’re of God while living in anti-gay and anti-women bigotry. 1946themovie proves the Bible is mistranslated. Matthew 7 says JUDGE NOT OR YOU'LL BE JUDGED. Judgment is coming to America because of the religious REICH. Turn off the world and turn on Jesus

    Amazing, the scholarship seen here. Too deep and complex for me, but interesting none the less.
    One thing that really shone through is that I believe the enemy within scenario is being played out strongly in the western evangelical world.
    The god that the majority of western evangelicals have come to preach and worship, is almost exactly opposite of the Father, Son, and Spirit, who are love and who are profiled in 1 Corinthians chapter 13.
    The evangelical god profile is very similar to Zeus, Baal, Molech or satan himself.
    Very interesting overturning of the truth of who God is and what He is like, and who we are and how He sees us. That too is amazing.

    Jonah, like some instances with other prophets such as Isaiah and Ezekiel, is a type of Israel. Israel was called to be the light of the world, but shirked its calling so it could claim the inheritance for its own (see parable of the wicked tenants). Christ becomes Israel on the cross (hence the crown of thorns and Pilate’s sign saying he was the king of the Jews). Israel’s messiah is resurrected and the gospel finally is preached to the Gentiles (the rest of the world). That’s the point of Jonah and the reason why the Pharisees seethed with anger when Jesus answered their demands for a sign.

      The parable of the wicked tenants doesn't criticize Israel but the pharisees and saducees. The vineyard is Israel and the scribes and pharisees aren't willing to obey God. That is crystal clear from the text.
      And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.
      Matthew:21:45

      @@MrSeedi76Distinguishing the Pharisees and Sadducees from the rest of Israel is a modern construct. See, e.g., John 1:11, for instance.

      I think your sign needs to read GOP LIES, DEMS LIE, USA DIES!! I don’t believe that “we the people” have had any control, or have been free, or have really known what was going on in our country for a long time. Yet, God is still on His throne!! Yes, it looks like we’re following the same path the Europeans are going down. I don’t want to live in a socialist country. I like our constitutional republic!! I want freedom of speech!! I hate to break it to you but men can’t have babies, God didn’t design it that way. Worry less about politics & concentrate more on what God can & will do!! We serve a BIG GOD!!
