How I'm learning PyTorch right now - where to start and how I study

  • Hey guys, I know everybody has their different opinion and method on how they study PyTorch, but I'm just making this video because I often see comments on how people don't know where to start and the resource I use. - This is purely my opinion and the way I study. Let me know if there are any better ideas or recommendations !!
    1. Before learning Pytorch, I would recommend knowing basic knowledge of data science(calculus, statistics, linear algebra, traditional machine learning models)
    2. Get comfortable with Numpy and pandas

    Keep making these videos right now I'm doing ml in 3 months I'll start learning DL so this I'll be very useful.
    Thank you.

      Hey, thanks for the support, check out my most recent video - I went through modelling and studied in detail maybe it will help you

    keep going, I started learning ML about 10 days ago, I hope we all get what we wanted

    Can you reduce the aspect ratio of your screen I have a big monitor and its kinda hard to see the texts. I understand that you can multitask easily as I too find easy in big monitor to multitask but make the fonts larger. Thanks. You got yourself one sub.

      Hello! thanks for the comment. Yes, I will try to fix the aspect ratio and make the font larger. Your english is perfect, Thanks!

    Hi! I'm a highschooler currently working on a project where I apply machine learning to 3D bioprinting to have more precise and accurate products as 3D bioprinting often has printing flaws. I have no experience in Calculus, Linear Algebra, Combinatronics, and high lvl Stats and Probability classes. Any suggestions on what the best roadmap would be for me to follow?

      Hi! well in my opinion, since your currently working on the project, and if you really don't have time to go over any math, then I'd say learn while you do the project. You actually don't have to understand the math in order to build projects as long as you have a understanding of what your code does.
      For example, if your using classification evaluation metrics, you just have to understand in which situations you would prioritize using ROC-AUC curve over accuracy and apply it to your project. There are maths inside like understanding how to draw the ROC-AUC curve, how to set the threshold for this curve, etc but you can learn these while you do the project.
      Keep up with your project and try to remember the math that you do in class or else you would have to go back and review basic math like me :( good luck!

      I never heard of that framework before but it seems like it's new. I will definitely learn after PyTorch if needed!

    I am a complete beginner, could you tell me where should I start from to get into machine learning?

    • @moolmohino
      @moolmohino  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, you have to be familiar with statistics and calculus first! and then Start with simple models such as linear regression, logistic regression, etc
