In Gambia u can’t blame many people because the government and the society it’s that. So if u are there u most be like them. Lack of job opportunities is lack. And the believe we have is that in Gambia u can’t make it there until u go Europe. And almost 90 percentage of the Gambian believe this even me when I was there. So sad

This all comes down to a lack of education and lack of awareness, we have people that we term as educated but they are still making these mistakes so we can also say it’s a lack of financial literacy. I emerging as a civil servant you go to the bank to take loads for their marriage/naming ceremony as if that is going to bring an ROI 😊 Our local society is a mess. Gambia is a poor country but the majority of the masses live beyond their means.
As a Gambian, once you build a house that’s it you are successful.
My advice to someone in Europe focus on savings and investing you can’t Satisfy everyone, especially someone whose mentality is based on how people see them like the clothes they are wearing or the phone in their hands. There is a lot I want to say but then the comment is already long enough. But one last thing I want to say “If you die today all the people depending on you will still survive”..!
