The end of the year is also time for my exams start, so I spend my time studying and we don't have a day off expect January 1st for new year ಥ_ಥ but I listen top music's of year, buy gift for my friend and write new year resolutions every year ^_^
Haru, don’t be so hard on yourself about your weight! It’s completely normal for young adults to weigh more than they did when they were in high school! People keep growing into their mid 20’s, puberty doesn’t magically stop at age 18. Be kind to yourself, you are young and still growing up!
Dude Haru is an absolute legend and they the reason why I wanna move to Japan!! Also I would love to be friends too which would be super cool for real!
Have you given me Super Thanks before? Thank you for always supporting this channel. I often hide things in my closet, but last month I gathered up the courage to clean it out for the first time in several months lol
I'm a Mexican exchange student and spent New Year alone in Osaka this year; but usually in Mexico, we reunite the whole family and bring different plates like turkey with red sauce, baked pork leg, stuffed pork loin, potatoes souffle, and other dishes. When is 12 o'clock (New Year) we have funny traditions like eating 12 grapes in 12 seconds to make 12 wishes or running out of the house with a suitcase to make a year with a lot of travels, using a specific color of underwear for manifesting money, romance, health, luxury, etc, and hiding under the table for having a partner. Celebrating New Year in Mexico is kinda crazy but is really funny. Happy New Year.
Here in Spain (and in most Latin countries, I believe) we have dinner with our family and eat 12 grapes on the last 12 seconds of the year. It's our way to say goodbye to the last year and greet the new. Also, some of us jump on our right foot as we eat the last grape as a wish for good luck. It's tradition to put on something red, too! It can be a sweater, shirt, socks... or even underwear lol. When I was young, supermarkets used to sell bags with the "12 lucky grapes" (as we call them) that were cosed with a red ribbon, which you could put on your wrist as a wristband, in case you don't have any red cloth to put on! The grapes tradition comes because, one year, Spain had a high production of grapes. Farmers did not know what to do with the extra grapes, so they started this tradition. We have even variations with no skin and/or no seeds, so we can eat them easily. If you don't like grapes, you can eat something similar (kids may eat Lacasitos, which are little pieces of chocolate lol). Then, the first day of the year, most of us have churros with hot chocolate as breakfast and then reunite again with our family to have lunch!
Not to be exaggerating but watching your vlogs lately gives me a piece of mind. It really makes me feel like living. Everyday I am just surviving and overthinking, that I dont stop to look at the sky and appreciate it. Watching these peaceful vlogs open my eyes to a lot of things. This new year was nothing special to me, to me it felt like a cycle being repeated again. But slowly I'll try to view myself and the world better i hope :') because that's not the case right now. Being alone and peaceful is great Haru, finding amazing people like you is difficult these days. Live a good life as you are now :> And I wish you all the best with everything! Happy new year!
I love the video! In Germany, New Year’s Eve/day isn’t really connected with such cultural or religious traditions. But it’s very common to do Raclette in the evening (kind of a table grill) and then stay up until midnight and after to watch the fireworks. For younger people going out and party is more in common and much alcohol. On the next morning, the first day of the new year everybody’s got a hangover 😂
It’s Late but Happy New Year Haru I love your videos and love seeing your culture and beautiful country, you are a beautiful person inside and out. Looking forward to your journey through 2025, much love from Wales 🏴 United Kingdom ❤
found you channel on new year's eve and I was so immersed by the peaceful pace you live your life. its refreshing and I am working on enjoying things the way you do. i was having ozouni (im from Brazil, Japanese family) and wondering whether haru would have it for new year's day too! I was happy to see your video, I enjoyed it throughly :) oh, and I also have 22y so I was happy to find out im in good luck this year keep your great work up, haruu
Just keep moving and replace some of the things like beer with a spirit and a tonic water or replacing sugary foods with a small bar of dark chocolate or some dates. :) small things can make a big difference over a long period of time. Instead of say 2 slices of bread, I’d have one. I’d still get my fix for my craving but in a smaller dose. That way I can be content and not crave binge eating something. I also eat before I go out shopping so I don’t feel I need to suddenly buy fast food.
Haru I love your videos so much their so peaceful and calming. I live in England so it’s refreshing to see how different cultures celebrate New Years. Here in London it’s mostly about fireworks and party’s. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. 💕
Happy New Year! Thank you so much for sharing with us how you celebrate New Year. I love watching your vlogs, they make me feel very relaxed and calm and it helps me to view life from a different perspective. I wish you a wonderful year full of success and happiness! Thank you for your hard work. 🙏✨
Such a sweet, real video of the new year with family and loved ones. Thanks Haru, for one thing I learned more about soba noodles and the different composition of buckwheat and wheat. Happy New Year!
I'm Swedish and my grandpa died when I was 15 and my uncle committed suicide when i was 18. Our way of dealing with death isn't right. it causes more suffering and people are very much unaware. The what if mentality is what brings people down, and also our view of death. When death isn't the end it's not as sad, when death is the end people loose faith. they don't want to loose what the love, what they fail to realize is loosing is inevitable. Cherishing the now is living.
Haru, you're great just the way you are! Instead of focusing on your weight, focus on living a happy and fun life! Happy new year and thanks for the always fun and calming videos❤
🎉Happy New Year! May 2025 be a year of good health and happiness for you and your family! 😊 Thank you for sharing how you celebrate the new year, I learnt alot from watching your videos!
Nice video, just 2 tips for the cooking, a little salt in the water and a lid, makes it boil faster anf if the cuttingboard is slippery, fold a papertowel, wet it a little an put it underneath.
I love your videos - they give me great insight into about life in Japan 😊 Thank you and keep up the good work 😊 Happy New Year and greetings from Poland 🇵🇱!
Thanks for sharing your routine and life in Japan, I lived there for 17 years and I miss it so much!! Wish you a wonderful year Haru! Hugs from Brazil!!
Thank you haru ❤ i really love to watch your videos, wish u very happy new year 🎊 stay happy healthy and safe , I'll definitely visit my dreamland nihon ,arigatou gozaimasu ❤❤.
It was a pleasure to watch your video, thank you for sharing. I agree that we need to cherish the little moments in life before they are gone. Happy New Year
あけおめ Haru and everyone! i wish you a happy new year! i didn’t do much for my new year and i just spent it with family and close friends while eating delicious food 🍲 thank you for the vlog 🎊
Thank you Haru for this video! I really enjoyed seeing you and your family celebrating the new year. (I’m also very grateful to your parents and grandpa because they let you record the video with them present, but of course you are very respectful about their privacy.). In my area of the southern US, it is still somewhat of a tradition on New Year’s Day to eat collard greens (a vegetable like bok-choi but with much larger green leaves) and black-eyed peas (actually a bean with a black spot or “eye”). The collards were said to bring prosperity because the green leaves reminded people of the green reverse of US currency (bank notes). The peas were supposed to represent coins. I think this is common in other cultures. Thank you Haru for showing us Japanese traditions in such a thoughtful way. I hope 2025 is a happy, healthy and prosperous year for you. I will also resolve to lose weight lol!
Thank you so much for this video! Thank you to have introduced your daily life with us, even your family. We will come to Japan this May, we are thrilled! If there's the possibilty and if you want to meet, feel free to tell us if you want!
Hello Haru! I just discovered your channel but from the things i’ve seen I firmly believe you have an amazing soul. Please let yourself acknowledge the body it inhabits as truly beautiful as well. Best wishes and happy new year

Happy New Year, Haru!!! 🎉 I was sick during New Years so I didn’t do anything. But normally I spend it with my parents and my son! We have a really nice dinner that my mother and I make. And my son and my father always end up keeping themselves busy outside, lol. This year I told my son he could stay up until midnight if he wanted! He’s 9. He almost made it! Fell asleep at 11. Maybe next year he’ll make it!! 🎉 😂
