Boardman on Cavendish, right at the end, "fantastic for the future".
Bang on there, Chris, bang on.
Needless to say, Cav has had a fantastic road career (44 Grand Tour stage wins etc) since then - one that perhaps even Boardman didn't anticipate when he alluded to his potential. Attacking with 30-odd laps to go seems to work for the Brits, as Wiggins & Cav did so to win in Manchester 2008...and again in London just yesterday!

There's something eternally satisfying about watching GB absolutely smash it on the track.

What do you mean what happened to him!?
He won the Madison again with Wiggins, and been close at other times.
He's been world champion in the road race, He won the green Jersey in the Tour de France last year, Had countless stage wins on various tours. I could go on... :P

Was just checking... I did come across someone else who didn't have a clue he road raced at all. :/ :P
whatever provides the best results, aerodynamics arent worth jack if you cant go your fastest all balled up
