I remember him best as Phineas J. Whoopee from "Tennessee Tuxedo". He'd explain, in very basic terms, how things worked. Like a CRT television, for example. I still remember that stuff after more than 40 years.
I am glad I am not the only one that took offense over the opening remarks. Larry is as wonderful today as he was years ago. A "has been" he is not. I feel he is still a much better comedian/actor than what we have today. I grew up watching F Troop. Agarn was the main reason why I love the show so much. They all had a great chemistry. When I got older I developed a crush on Wrangler Jane (Melody Patterson). David Levin should have shown Larry more respect with his opening statements.

He has such a personna, I'll watch (and enjoy) everyything he is in. I'd heard, while doing Cary Grant, Judy Garland was spotted at the show, and he is the one who (famously) quoted Judy, Judy, Judy! Who says he's dumb?!

I'm such an F-Troop fan (in real time), I feel sad knowing Larry's up there in age, & although the core group has passed, I may never get the chance to tell him how much laughter & joy he brought me watching the show & reruns over the years. Some years ago, Mr Storch was at an event in NJ, but by the time I was told, it was already over. He was always, & still remains my favorite character of the bunch. Larry Storch is an incredible mimic for after Mel Blanc had been gone for a few years, Chuck Jones wanted to direct a cartoon as a tribute to his recently passed colleague Isadore "Friz" Freleng. So Larry Storch did the voices of both "Pirate" Yosemite Sam and Bugs Bunny, for they were so on the mark that you almost could have sworn that they were voiced by Mel Blanc himself.
"F Troop" was intended to entertain the troops in Vietnam. The turning point of the war was breaking down the morale of the troops and the rise of the anti-war movement was making more and more sense. If not for the Vietnam War, F Troop would never have been created. But as a result of history creating F Troop some real very talented human beings came from it. I would consider F Troop a historic treasure.

The interviewer acted like Larry was a "has been". I thought he was wonderful in this interview. The Interviewer, on the other hand was boring and his remarks at the beginning of this video were RUDE.
Boy they don't make them like Larry anymore! And Hollywood's tv/movie production is nothing but a degenerate blob of degenerate nonsense, I want none of it. - I can't recall ANY comedian in the last few decades that can hold even the tiniest candle to any of these guys from the 50's, 60's or 70's - even the 80's had more talent than now.
I remember every actor he mentioned in F Troop! Frank De Kova showed up in the Rifleman. He was in jail. I said, “it’s Wild Eagle!”. He had the great chiseled features of a Sicilian. Could be wrong. I’m of Italian descent. The episode with Don Rickles was a riot! I loved that show and loved hearing Larry talk about the actors and the good relationship they had. 💗 love you forever, Larry.
