It seems odd to me that in almost all the Vaults, there's basically only the main door, then it opens right into the vault proper - no airlock or quarantine area...
for the space programme they had planned for the future, an airlock would be paramount but for surviving a nuclear event since the door wasnt intended to be opened till the outside was livable again, an airlock wouldnt really be necessary.

if they actually managed to stay alive and monitor the vaults the knowledge gained from some of their experiments might have proved invaluable. imagine if super mutants were created and able to be controlled by the government in whatever form (possibly the enclave). or what about how to perfect the cloning process in vault 108? and even vaults that were supposed to never open or be control vaults and open after about 20 years or so demonstrate what humans would do in certain situations.
Lunar Templar Well, vault 21 was a very mild experiment vault. It studied the effects of using casino games to solve problems and social issues. I wouldn't mind that one at all or 81 seeing that the experiment was abandoned.
I think Langston was affected a bit, since he clearly enjoyed what he was doing but was easily convinced to keep switching tapes. Could be from the longer term effects catching up with him later, causing his enjoyment (knowing Vault-Tec would enjoy that sort of thing).

For the initiation part, all the copies of the form are yellow (daffodil, lemon,canary,gold, yellow) with a warning not to put the wrong copies in the wrong places or the process would have to be repeated. That is funny, and shows how inept Vault-Tec was.
It might be interesting to go back and cover some of the F1 and F2 vaults - F2 being when the whole experiment idea was properly introduced, but it would all have to be screengrabs due to the different gameplay style. Unless you can get someone to rebuild then in F4 using the vault-tec assets

an area I just got around to exploring/checking out myself, "Big John's Salvage" its a super mutaint camp with raiders too, but bit of a story in the house next to the shop there, at least worth checking out, (its the area where you find the railway rifle too though couldnt really figure out why thats there (besides the fact well its next to a train junk yard ofcourse

To the west, there is a fishing boat with a skeleton and a porpoise. On the far side of that boat, a cable runs into the water. Dive down and prepare to be ever so slightly (or more) horrified.
Aaaand that's why I savor the moment of killing that Vault tec Overseer lady in that Build your own Vault DLC. Glad they gave us an opportunity to say "Fuck you! We're not gonna let you hurt anyone anymore!".
Tiny tidbit you missed. In the display where all the planets(where you found the dead trader) are if you look up at the planet hanging over the doorway there's a toy alien spaceship and toy alien sitting on top. There's no way to get close enough to grab them(yes, you can shoot them down), I wonder who put them up there and why? Just want to say I love the way you give explanations to mundane things. Very NatGeo lol.
I liked Vault-tec conspiracy stuff back when the people from Fallout 1 & 2 were writing it. You got the sense that they might add some edgy social commentary about the illuminati or something. Todd Howard is probably _a member_ of the illuminati, so good luck getting cool conspiracy references in any of his games.

Becuz it feels like Vaultec is aware of the aliens.. even the toys in Nuka World and comics knows exacly how they look like. 7:17 well now, I commented before reaching this part, the begining of the audio is exacly the same of the aliens in both Fallout 3's radio signal and one that plays in a computer in Big MT in Fallout New Vegas.. however.. they finish diferently.. so I'm not sure if this is also a connection to the aliens.. or just Bethesda re-using a classic sound in a different context.. maybe the scientists are using the alien speech alongside with the subliminal messages. Also the 7:25 sounds a little like the "Oh Long Johnson" cat speaking..

He could also have just been a jerk and already high egoed though to do what he did naturally I am sure... which could make him in a way still part of the experiment but making him the technical "control group subject" and the visitors the ones actually tested on.
