Just got back from wasting time on the range hitting awful shots... one after another. Came home, made a drink and your video came up on my computer. Looked interesting. Never tried a 'hands high' backswing before. Staggered back out on the range again and...holy crap! I started striping irons AND woods! What JuJu magic is this? HA!, HA! Thanks for a tip that I would NEVER have figured out on my own, mate. 👍👏

JuJu magic! I love it! It really does feel magic once you try it, doesn’t it? Thanks so much for your comment and I love the story of your road to discovery. Most people won’t believe how instant the results can be. They just need to try it to see for themselves just like you did. Thanks my friend.

David get your hands as high as you can. Feel like you are over exaggerating it.

    Might help with my shanks
Seem to do it with my short irons or I pull a little left
    Thanks

One of the best ways to stop pulling to the left also is to make sure you start your swing with your lower body and keep it moving. A lot of time to pull happens when you let your arms over take your hips.

Matt... Dunnaway's swing on his video looked like, his pivot on the downswing, the hips fired through ahead of the clubhead. Is the clubhead and trail hip coming down and through together?

Great video. Are you pausing at the top?

Thank you. Yes, I do pause at the top. That doesn’t mean it’s something that everyone needs to do. It’s just a personal preference. For me, I have found that it helps me complete my backswing, and then make a conscious effort to start my downswing with my lower body first. It helps me to force my lower body to drive my upper body, rather than starting the downswing with my upper body.

What is that thing on your dog's neck? Just curious. Lol.

It’s an inflatable, doughnut collar. If you look far behind me, you’ll see a fence. She’s able to squeeze between those bars even though they are only 4 inches apart. I have to put this donut on her so she can run around and play in the backyard otherwise, without it, she will escape! Beagles are escape artist!

Great video! Thank you. Do you break the hands immediately or after the club crosses past the r foot like MA did? Either way, after breaking the wrist you demonstrate a straight arm raise. I thought MA had said to follow the plane back but I might be mistaken.
    Thank you

Walter first of all thank you so much for the super thanks I really appreciate that. I break the hands immediately, but that is a personal preference. I have experimented with breaking the hands at different points in the backswing. I’ve even waited till I got to the very top of the backswing before breaking them. It works no matter where I performed it, but I personally prefer doing it immediately. Experiment to find which feels best for you. Austin did teach taking the club back on that clubs swing plane until he began approaching shoulder height. That was point he went high with his hands. This is a two plane swing. Mike Dunaway used more of a single plane swing where he kept the club more on one plane, but even here lifted upward towards the top of the backswing.
