What's more important is not how you get there, but how prepared are you to get there. The might be some-highs and definitely some lows, but a prepared mind can overcome any obstacles no matter how great the difficulties may seem. I am hitchhiking around the world writing a book and vlogging and it is such a breath of fresh air to watch other travellers
Absolutely awesome! Your vlogs allow people like me to visit the world right from our dens, or wherever. Most of us, although we might travel on vacations and such, will probably never see many of the places that you have gone. Thanks so much for sharing.
True.....for monuments and historical stuffs but not for the countries. I'm sure there is much more to Italy than showed and that goes for most countries visited. Impossible to know what a country is about without being at least a month there.
@Music Of Sounds - depends on the country & what it has to offer. In smaller countries you could get a very in-depth experience in a month. Others, (Mexico comes to mind) you only scratch the surface in a month. I stay longer if the country has a lot to experience.
Gabe, thanks for being my eyes as you travel the world. Every step you make is like I am right there!!! For me is the closest thing to the real thing. Bucket list!! Bucket list!!!❤
That's great! I have some young nephews who love Lego -- most of their sets are cars, boats, trucks, etc. I'll have to look for the Leaning Tower of Pisa version. If I can't find that I'm thinking of looking for a 3D puzzle of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Ah it was so good to see the views from the tower, I’ve been to Pisa but literally just an hour and we had to go. You went at a beautiful time of the day 😁 I love Italy, going back in November and I can’t wait! I like this spontaneous traveling to get to France ... if you get a chance, stop off at Santa Margherita Ligure / Portofino...beautiful! X
You did not tell your viewers that you only get 30 minutes on the tower, but still nice to see you go up the tower. Weird feeling going to the top, you feel like it is going to fall over any time. Loved your videos on Malta, did Malta and Pisa.
Ah Pisa.. just as I remember. A wow first impression even if you have to run the gauntlet of street hawkers (rather aggressive ones at that) and people jumping in front of your view to get that all important 'i'm holding up the leaning tower shot'.
If you visit the tower at Pisa you may like to enter the Baptistry there and hopefully a guide is present inside who will sing/intone for you so that you can hear the echoes or resonance of the building. Very interesting.
Thanks for the view on the tower Gabe. When I was in Pisa, back in 2002, there was a queue to visit the tower and only a few visitors were allowed to go up to the top it's time, so I didn't do that.
I think a really obvious tip when going to see a well known site is get there first thing in the morning before the hoarders arrive to disturb your peaceful wandering thoughts and tranquil ambience... 😉😉😊
You must now have a '6th' sense to avoid scams, pick-pockets. The close calls experienced were too many to fully relax for a newbie-ish traveler like me.
Hey there Gabriel, Just started watching your channel recently, pretty cool stuff!! If you're still in Italy I suggest you go to Verona and from there to Lago Di Garda. Amazing lake with amazing picturesque small villages surrounding it (Torbole, Riva del Garda, Limone) and only 40Km from there you can go to Trento, nice little town. Hope you can make it there, you will love it and so will your viewers!! Thank you for sharing you adventures!! Peace, Zack.
Gabriel, when you were at the top of the tower did you experience the very noticeable feeling of your feet being "up" on the high side and "down" on the low side of the tower? Most notable effect to appreciate how much the tower actually leans. I found it a bit scary!
Do you film one continuous shot with the GoPro and then chop out of that when editing, or do you stop/start the video to keep separate smaller files? Also, what resolution are you filming at? (apologies for the techy questions)
It depends on the video. Most of my videos involve lots of separate shorter clips, sometimes more than 50 for one video. This one was a lot simpler, only about 9-10 different clips. But occasionally I make just one long clip that I edit, such as the last one about Florence. That was one continuous clip which I then did a bit of editing to, but I didn't cut out all that much. This video was filmed at 1080p and 30fps, however most of my videos are filmed at 1080p and 60fps. I switched to 30fps recently (all my Italy videos) because my computer is getting grumpy and it's easier to edit at 30fps.
So cool that you got there at the exact time of sunset! BTW, random question -Where does your incoming snail mail go when traveling so much and who checks it? What if you’re called for jury duty or a court matter?
Yes, big-time. It's pretty weird. When you're going up the spiraling staircase on the inside you can easily feel when you're on the upside of the tower and the downside.
Sunset on tower of Pisa! Magnificent.....
Your last three videos are giving me the itch to go back to Italy again.
your vlogs are get for feeling as if you're there - can feel the heat, get the atmosphere. just great!
Thomas Crown right!
Dream Life this guy lives, cheers Gabriel!

Hi Gabriel, It's amazing that this structure gets so much attention because it's tilted at 3.97 degrees.
Seriously. If it wasn't for an engineering error, Pisa wouldn't have a tourist industry.
Italy is THE BEST! We always love to watch our old videos in Italy on our channel. Ha! Great job.
What a beautiful view from the Pisa tower! Sunset!
Hi Gabriel! Pisa is so beautiful! The Leaning Tower is one of the 7th wonders.. Just lovely.. Take care! 🌟😊🌟
Gabe, your videos are so descriptive that after having watched them I don't feel like going there any more! Well done! 👍

@Mathieu Tallard - I subscribe to that - 1 month is ideal
@@jacqdanieles why not 6 months? It's boring?

Man, oh man.. I was there 20 years ago... Time flies for sure
Pisa is such an interesting city and you're right, there's more to it than just the Leaning Tower of Pisa 👌
Fuck it! We're just gonna leave it crooked. Typical Italian.
Pisa is beautiful, I have a Lego set of the Leaning Tower of Pisa
I bet that's better built than the actual real tower

I didn't know about that actually, they didn't mention it. But it makes sense to be sure there aren't too many people on the tower at one time.
Another great video Gabriel... Love your Book as well. All the Best!!
Please keep the style of your videos as laid back as they are. I feel as if I’m traveling with you - really cool!
Beautiful scenery
Thanks for this video Gabe. I'm 46 and remember going up the tower 40 years ago. My Father was stationed in Germany and we drove their on vacation.
Exellent video ! Thanks Gab ! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
THE BEST of your videos. Really wow.
Beautiful city + sunset. Don't forget to eat gelato & pasta before leaving. You can switch to pastries in France. 🙋♀️ Thanks molto. Caio.
Nice to see the view from the top of the tower as I only got to see the tower from the ground when I was there.
These videos are the best! You have inspired me to start my own TH-cam channel of me exploring European countries and soon India myself 👍😊
Walk the World 4K I’ll check out your channel 👍
Thank you 🙏
Thank you for this. What a beautiful place and just catching the sun setting was amazing timing :)

Thanks for your videos. It sure is helping me plan my italy trip in May 2020!
You need to return to Greece and Athens. Take as I did a ferry to Paros and once there go to Antiparos. Be amazed of what you can see on both islands.
Very likely I'll head back to Greece soon. I was on Paros and Antiparos three years ago:

Looks incredible man! I made that same walk! Two years ago!
Amazing timing !to watch the sunset thanks for filming and taking us along
The ending was Dynamite with the music Gabe. Well done 👍
👍 The leaning Tower of Pisa that's great.
Wow, what a beautiful sunset!
I was in Italy at exactly the same time as this. It's a shame you didn't go to Siena. The Palio was on the 16th!

Haha, definitely.
Have you ever thought of using a 3D camera for these walking tours? It'd be really cool to be able to look all around as you walk down these streets!
Talk about trippy- there are moments during these Italy videos where it's like you're walking around inside an old painting
So cool that you got there at the exact time of sunset!

Nice vlog
Gabe. When you have time look up the French island of Corsica. It's French with Italian influence with history, trails etc. H
Yeah I've looked into it a little, sounds absolutely amazing.
Spaghetteria, that's a new IA for me, LOL.
Can you feel the lean when you're inside at the top?
Yes, big-time. It's pretty weird. When you're going up the spiraling staircase on the inside you can easily feel when you're on the upside of the tower and the downside.
Watch out for the leaning tower of Pisa. :)
A food tour?
Ayy love Italy and Salvini.
I was there last month and in december 2018 😅
Very nice!
Gabe, how many miles do you usually walk in a day when you're doing video?
hey hey hey, what else are you planning to do in Pisa?
6:48 7:38 when you rotate camera it feels like it almost falls, wow
Please one video in "quartieri spagnoli a Napoli"
how far of a walk is it from the train station to the tower?
About 20-25 minutes.
Gabriel Traveler hey thanks a lot!
Gee whiz, Italy looks way too crowded for me. Visiting in mid October would probably be more enjoyable.
What were those metal boxes on the right at 3:32?
