My now 34 & 36 yr old adults daughters listened to this book on cassette every October. One of our yearly traditions. Plus we had a friend with a restaurant that served amazing Pumpkin Pie
My entire kindergarten expierence was defined by this book as well as this absolute jam! The only thing I stay for anymore is trying to relive moments from my childhood oof
It is 11 pm and I’m crying in bed. I just used AI to help me remember the name of this book. It was fav Halloween book, but I only had a vague memory of it from 1st grade, 20 years ago! I couldn’t remember the name of it or the author. All I remembered was that a giant pumpkin rolled down the hill and it had a witch. It also had to be published before 2004. Apparently, there are many books that fit this description. So it took a while to narrow it down, but as soon as I saw the cover I instantly recognized it. And the main narrator’s voice and the melody were instantly recognizable. Thank you so much for uploading my fuzzy childhood so I can relive it in all its glory. Which is ironic because I had a terrible 1st grade teacher…I guess there’s always a silver lining😅 P.S. Who is the narrator?! This guy better be making some killer royalties. He deserves it.
Or was it elementary school? It was so long ago, I can't remember where I read it. I just remember being very young when I read and listened to this book.
bro, I remember in elementary school, during library related arts in october, our librarian had the class pull popsicle sticks to determine who got to actually be in the mini-play thingy, and I think I can recall being able to be in the mini-play. Sorry if this is hard to comprehend, it’s currently 2am and I just remembered about this. Anyways, this is a great book and I appreciate that librarian a lot, she was cool.
Found my copy of this book the other day while cleaning. I didn’t quite remember all the voices right, but I remembered like 3/4 of it, which honestly, props to the guy who narrated/sang (most of) the book.
something abt the mummy being a woman and being bigger and stronger than the men really sat right in my spirit and has turned me into the feminist i am today
ong my elementary school did this when we had library on or of the week of Halloween and people literally prayed they were one of the people that was picked to reenact this
I’m desperately trying to find this recording on cd for my preschool class! Anyone know where I can find it??? The one I bought is horribly boring and slow. Trying to find the recording with the singing and voices!
This book is literally my childhood
Mine too! ☺️
No, it isn't. A book is a physical object. Your childhood is something abstract.
