To all Starship Troopers pinball players : Did you know that if you hit a bug target (standup) with a ball shooted from the "mini flipper" (the small one in pink on the right) it will kill 2 bugs instead of one ?! God, It makes advancing through planets so much easier and so much faster !! I recently discovered it by myself and completely by accident ! (If you pay attention, you'll see on this video that Pinballwiz45b killed the 2 last Tanker bugs of Tango Urilla (at 16:07) with one single shot from the mini-flipper...). My greatest score at this pinball (PC version) is around 550.000.000
FarSight did plan on having a spinoff entry called Pinball After Dark, but considering this table has an animated human having an insect arm shoved through his head, I doubt there should be any issues with tables like Big Bang Bar and Tales from the Crypt (licensing notwithstanding) being on The Pinball Arcade.
unfortunately, for CFTBL, it'll always be in Family Mode (as the violent Easter Egg references allude to the ''new at the time'' Mortal Kombat which is now owned by WB Games)
Its a good table, hard as fuck though, that red flipper though is a fucking menace on the bugs if you know how to use it. I own this table too and remember.. "Destroy Everything!!"
It's meant to mimic the rifle the mobile infantry uses in the movie, the Morita. In the movie, it's an assault rifle that also has a built-in shotgun, so having an extra trigger to mimic the shotgun part makes sense, thought it was unique myself the first time I played this machine.
SummerWave yeah why I came to check out the vid, never seen the table in real life, probably still holding off on the $5 till I see what else is in season 4 for $29
Yes, I never saw this game completed. I played this game on a real pinball machine, too and was even closer to the end, but... Even in in the net I can't find any video where this game is completed.
I just saw a video for the physical version, and the guy actually tells you how many of each bug to kill rather than having his head skewered. It's probably a dumb question, but can anyone tell me why?
I should think about getting this for the PS3 (I had it on Xbox 360 until it was discontinued due to the original company going out of business and Microsoft delisting it as a result.)
Think I heard it had something to do with MS requiring official non-indy releases to have a publisher, and the publisher is gone, thus Farsight's game was taken off.
Energyone but I just downloaded it a couple nights ago, whatever happened it back up for everyone and I'm so happy. It's a good pinball simulation game. The only things I didn't like that much was the ball physics didn't feel realistic enough and kinda awkward and the sounds could have been a bit better. Otherwise it's a solid pinball game.
noticed a lot was taken down in general, was wondering why. I really wanted the xmen and simpsons arcade games plus wanted to redownload Marvel VS. Capcom 2 on my system. Dumb decision if you ask me. Should have more real arcade games on the marketplace in general. But hey at least MS is kind enough to at least let you redownload what still is available on a new hard drive the games and dlc for them you had upon connecting your live account.
Not Myname X-Men and marvel Vs. Capcom was taken down because Marvel decided they're not going to license their titles out to anymore and make their own games.
It's afraid. IT'S AFRAID!
*Crowd Cheers*

Plus they can just turn the animations off in the operator menu, there are parental options on some pins.

Would you like to know more?

Never seen an flipper system like that before.
There are other games that have a similar flipper layout, like Alien Poker.

28:22 i saw a freaking sonic
Not sure how it is on the PC, but for some reason on XBox One...this table (and only this table) doesn't have a trial version.
SummerWave yeah why I came to check out the vid, never seen the table in real life, probably still holding off on the $5 till I see what else is in season 4 for $29
Benji Smith At this point, Season 4 is pretty much worth it. Got a whole bunch of great tables in there.
WE GOT MULTI BALL!!!

26:18 harsh 🤣
Bugs bugs bugs!
dude, you rip. My buddy and I have been stuck on the x box one version for months. Can you please give us some tips?

It's an easter egg, you flip both flippers to skip that sequence and get the skewer animation.
1:17 ALRIGHT LETS GO!

Yeah MS has changed since it was originally taken off.

I usually play with headphones on and those bug shreiks are unbearable with them on - i like the game on TPA overall though
you should try the ps4 version with better lightning effects. i luv it and is highly recommended =)
Citizen Bishop I don't have a PS4, and I don't plan on getting one just for Pinball Arcade. Plus, DX11 is coming relatively soon.
well, i did :D
Multiball engaged.
BLEAUGH
I hope they update the physics engine sometime in their existence. Cool table tho.
28:50 Maybe you are…
Nice guess, haaa
