I recommend the following steps in harsh conditions.
1. Place yourself with you back against the wind, in the spot where you want to put up your tent, in kneeling position, low against the ground.
2. There should be at least 2 guy lines hanging outside of the tentbag for securing the tent with some pegs BEFORE you pull the entire tent out. This way the tent is already secured.
3. Roll the tent further down leewards, keeping it low to the grond, still in kneeling position and anker it with pegs along the way.
4. Loosly secure the remaining front guy lines. Your tent is now ankerd to the ground and aint gonna move one bit.
5. Slide in all poles halfway, once all poles are halfway in, and the tent is stil on the ground, errect the tent poles fully starting from the first one where the wind hits. (tunnel tent concept)
6. Now the tent is errected, already ankerd from all corners and the front guy lines. Stake out the remaining side and back guy lines. The tent is all set and good to go.
This video instruction isn't bad, it's good enough for in most conditions. But not optimal for harsh winter conditions,especialy if you have to put up the tent alone. Just my 2 cents

Very, very good. Thank you, Vincent! I watch it from time to time, to keep it fresh in my mind :-) Now we need another one to show how pack the tent :-) More precisely, to get all the skis, pegs, etc from under a thick layer of ice without breaking anything with the shovel. Not that I broken anything myself digging through the ice...
