As a diehard Newcastle United fan since the 90s. I thank you Liverpool for humbling us. We needed it. It’s still a long long way to go to compete with giants like liverpool and Man City and so on. Totally devastated about this loss but I hope it brings something for us to learn and be better. Cheers

Respect mate, next to Anfield St. James's park is my favourite stadium, the atmosphere is brilliant the fans are so passionate, when things weren't so go in the lower leagues the fans never turned their backs on the club. A REAL club.

For those who understand, study, and learn football: I was watching the match from the stands of the stadium, and I saw that there was a close individual siege on Salah throughout the match, but Salah occupied the middle of the field and managed two decisive passes that changed the course of the match .. He would either score or he would Be a direct reason for scoring goals... Salah is a special player, distinguished, abnormal, fabulous

@@redknight07_ It's one of those scenarios where the money that he could be sold for is almost worth losing him for. Arab Muslim player in his prime is exactly what the Saudi league is desperate for and the money they might pay could fund a rebuild for the rest of the squad. That being said, the most important thing this year is to get champions league football again and prove we can win trophies again, and doing so without Salah - especially this late in the window - would be very difficult.
If the offers are still on the table next summer, I could definitely see him being sold, but at this point where the market for a goalscorer is so stale, there is really no way he's getting sold this year.
@@ChzydawgCoutinho was a similar situation back then, but those were the times where the most expensive decent talent didn’t cost you an arm and a leg to sign. Maybe if we sold Salah we wouldn’t have as much money to actually rebuild the team with good talents

Anybody else get so much joy from watching the contrasting reactions of the Newcastle fans? From watching them celebrate their goal and Van Djik's sending off like it was a forgone conclusion they had won, to their complete astonishment and dismay when Nunez crushed their hearts 😂.
Just after the VVD Red Card, Joelinton is seen indicating a card to the ref, and 7 fouls later, ended up being not being booked throughout the game. Insane!
This is the insane inconsistency
Joelinton was mocking the ref throughout the match but no card for him. Gordon's blatant shove on Trent not a foul but throwing the ball a couple of yards away is a yellow card. Such a biased ref... Disgraceful.
He's not alone. There are too many refs like him when it comes to Liverpool. Liverpool even reported this one to the FA last year. That tells you something.@@leobuscaglia5576

A pretty intimidating home crowd. Don't expect to see many, if any, visiting teams winning at St. James' Park this season or in the next few ones. Us doing it with 10 players and with a goal down will be remembered by all for some time to come.
What a game. incredible comeback and Nunez was just devastating. Both finishes are top drawer.
But.... how the hell is that not a foul and yellow card for Gordon when he shoves Trent off the pitch. Fair enough, give the pathetic booking for throwing the ball away but it's a blatant shove and zero attempt for the ball so apply the letter of the law to that as well.
Great tactical game from Klopp and the team, hopefully we'll get better referee and VAR decisions in the next games.
No matter what anyone says, Endo is the best DM in the Bundesliga and the best midfielder in Asia, and being a mainstay at a top 5 club in the world like Liverpool is proof of that.

The ref literally looked Joelinton in the eyes as he fake pulled a card and did nothing about it yet books trent for throwing the ball 5 yards after being fouled himself. Not to mention Joelinton committed 4 fouls to slow down play without a booking too.
