I thought nothing would top White Pony but damn, Diamond Eyes is something special of an album!
I know White Pony gets all the fanfair, but personally I think Diamond Eyes is a better album. And I’ve been listening since around ‘97 when I was 15.

I adored White Pony, and Change is still one of my Fav music ever by anyone, but for my money, Diamond Eyes is a better album.

The song was dedicated to chi Chang (bassist) so it was probably hard to play live due to the emotions connected to it

Diamond Eyes is just dreamy.. I really loved how they continuously evolve with their music, and makes me proud that I still listen to them after more than a decade.. A rare band who knows how to look back at their roots and not mess with it even after all the evolution their albums have gone through
Yeah, he's gotten in touch with his like jazzy side way more. This band is the meaning of musical and band expansion. They have never stopped progressing.
I fell for them in 95 when I heard a clip of Seven Words, and I have never gotten board with them. This guitarist changed me as a guitarist forever.

you know, I know Chi is original and i'm all for his recovery. But if for some reason he doesn't return I could accept Sergio as a permanent fixture. Each member adds a new dynamic - I like where this phase of Deftones is heading..

I love this song so much. I didn't know they used an eight-string guitar for this album. That explains why the low chords sound so good.

Had to be right after recording the record because he sounds exceptional. Not moving around on stage helped him control his voice. This is a great Chino clip.
