10月9日是世界候鳥日，候鳥與香港有何關係？
每年有數以萬計候鳥途徑香港，部分更會在港過冬。候鳥選擇香港作中途補給站或者度冬地，原因之一是后海灣濕地有相對穩定的食物供應。🐛
瀕危物種黑臉琵鷺是后海灣的「訪客」。然而，根據本年度全球同步普查，香港黑臉琵鷺數目顯著下降，后海灣只有336隻，過去七年間跌幅達15%，反映濕地正面臨發展威脅。😰
身形細小、只有手掌般大的勺嘴鷸，亦會在后海灣覓食，其情況比黑臉琵鷺更嚴峻，全球少於700隻，被列為極度瀕危物種。要保育雀鳥，首要是保育濕地，切勿破壞牠們的棲息及度冬地，大家不妨花數分鐘觀看以上片段，了解濕地對候鳥的重要性。❤️

Oct 9 is the World Migratory Bird Day. Do you know Hong Kong is a haven for migratory birds?
Myriads of migratory birds fly over Hong Kong every year, with some of them staying put for winter. Hong Kong is chosen as a migration stopover site or wintering ground largely because of a relatively stable food supply in the Deep Bay wetland. 🐛
Black-faced Spoonbill, an endangered species, is a regular winter visitor to Deep Bay. However, the International Black-faced Spoonbill Census 2021 recorded a notable decline in Hong Kong population, with only 336 indiviuals in Deep Bay. The number dropped by 15% over the course of 7 years reflected increasing threats posed by development to Deep Bay wetland. 😰
Spoon-billed Sandpiper, which also is a visitor to Deep Bay, is facing an even grimmer scenario. Its world population is only about 700 individuals and has been listed as critically endangered. 我覺得米埔近這10年越來越少雀鳥來香港過冬😥，我10年前入去米埔后海灣是很多雀鳥😍，有些品種的雀鳥來港次數越來越少😥，因素有很多，可能有外來環境變化或全球暖化所造成😥，如果北部都會區興建，米埔可能會再更少雀鳥來香港過冬😭
