Well to explain: Noa's Astral master was the one who created Cosmos in secret. It is thanks to Noa also being created by the same master as Cosmos, alongside the fact that Yuni, who used to be someone apart of her own power, that the two was able to re-establish a connection to bring her back as she seemingly perished with her role. Without these things, none of this would have been possible.

@@Flamelance_Accendo So in laymen's term Primal beast can still exist even without their role/concept they are assigned to.
If Lyria and Vyrn's power literally separates them from their role or concept so they can pass away or no longer be bound their duties/concept and power meaning all those who were harvested didn't actually pass away but rather probably somewhere else but they are no longer connected to Sky-realm.
This thing kinda feels similar to what happened to Nectar. his role and wedge he is governing was removed but it did not kill him but rather he became an independent being but no longer has the power he once had (until he got it back by connecting to boundary).

@@TheGreatJedi A Primal's Role is not their concept. It is something that Primals are created to do. Mostly against their wills because its something that is apart of them. Getting rid of the Role wouldn't get rid of the Primal. Like for example with the Primarchs, or with Zooey and Geo. Though Primals can choose to ignore their roles, even given that it could be a hard task. (To be specific, the Primarchs ceded their roles to live life without it despite it being something apart of them.)
Edit: I don't really think Lyria and Vyrn can do something like that at all. At best, the only thing they can do is settle down a Primal. If a Primal was defeated, Lyria can just absorb the ethereal part of them, while vyrn absorbs the Astral Power when a Primal's Core is destroyed.
In regards to Nectar, he isn't a Primal so that situation wouldn't compare to this.

      @@Flamelance_Accendo yeah you're correct
my reply got deleted when i opened the other comment but
i think in Akasha's case. she dissipated to the sky above. she disappeared similarly to Cosmos
except cosmos is shown to return to the precipice and Astral Realm.
Harvesting isn't really intended to kill them. it only as if its killing them because without their powers primals are basically useless not to mention primals conceptualize life and death differently so death of them could be just them no longer capable of doing their role or task or what not
Primarchs have this thing about being one with the element and uncoupling and ceding their role as said by Raphael and Uriel in 000. Raphael even said he wanted to help while he is still one with the wind which implies he might become weakened upon ceding their connecting and role with the tetra elements.
so i think aside from their concept they probably also gain power proportionate to their roles/orders

@@TheGreatJedi Akasha's case was different from Cosmos's. In Akasha's case, the crew had to return it to its pre-primal state. This is the state that a Primal is reduced to when their core is destroyed. The Core is the thing that gives them physical form in the first place. In the lore of the story, having your core destroyed may as well _be_ death as there's no coming back. But Cosmos's situation is suggesting something else happened as her Core may still have very well been in-tact as she faded off but ended up in that dimension between time and space where Gran and Lyria once was after getting offed themselves.
But then again, her core might be not be in tact and may be in the same situation as Zooey given that Cosmos asked to be destroyed. _Maybe._
