If the homeless can find and use something to better their life, then so be it. Even if they need a place to sleep, at least they will find some peace of mind here.
Elizabeth Torres it almost seems like people going in and out may be using this for free storage for small stores etc maybe. The carpet samples etc... but i agree. If they are going to leave it like this im glad people have a place for shelter for sure! It just seems like its been used for several things over the yrs! What ALWAYS amazes me is how electronics etc arent all wiped out in these places and sold! I mean lawn chairs get stolen from porches but so many antiques etc etc are always left alone :) urbex paradise for sure!!

So sad to see this beautiful church starting to fall apart. It looks like it could be restored without too much cost. They could have free dinners once a week for the surrounding less fortunate folks and for a small price sell off all the abandoned stuff. The church could be very important to a lot of people by offering different professional services like family counsellors etc. God I hate waste!! 💕💕💕 what you are doing.
Discovered your videos as a distraction during studying for exams. I just love them. I feel like I get to go on an adventure every time. There's just something so cool about seeing these places and what there is to discover. Thank you for all the work you do to make these, and the production quality is top notch.
I weirdly came across that rummage sale on a weekend outing! We did not get to explore very much of the building as most of the things were outside, but I remember talking to a guy who said they were trying to raise money to fix the church up- and I distinctly recall how badly the basement smelled. Fantastic video!
If you look at it closely it is now deconsecrated. There's nothing that renders it as a church, but it was one 30 years ago. It appears to be Presbyterian by its style, but the flowers on the sides of the pews are Tudor Roses. That makes it an Anglican Church (Episcopalian).
There is no reason for this. The toys and bikes can be cleaned up and given to kids in foster homes or low income families. Same with the clothes and furniture. It will stay there until it is not good. It just goes to show how screwed up this country is. So many people in need and this is just sitting here in waste.
I can only say , Wow....one of your best , Jay. Glad you and Mike brought us along on this amazing explore. It would be a shame to let this beautiful church fall into decay like so many buildings we have seen. Someone needs to step in and save it before it is too far gone. So glad it was documented . .......the architecture and stained glass windows are true works of art .(Glad at least some one without a home found shelter).
What a great find, I am blown away that a church such as this stood all these years in the middle of the neighborhood, and last so long with hardly a scratch done to it. Its rare to find such a gem, untouched from vandals, thieves, and the like. Thanks so much for bringing this piece of history to light. 👍🏻🤯
What a beautiful building, we have all said it a million times.... so sad it’s going to waist and rotting. Can’t believe all the stuff in there. Loved seeing the old water bed, lol, had one just like it in the early 70’s. Table at the end looked like it was set up for beer pong. Awesome explore and glad to see it’s not vandalized..... hope it stays that way. Thanks for sharing, this is one of my favorites! Gave thumbs up as always!
Thank you guys for showing us the beautiful old church. I wish like I said before that it could be saved as a church again or repurposed or turned into a private home, wow what a big home that would be. Thank you guys. Take care.😙

Mimeograph machine. One of the early types of copy machines. I used one back in the mid 1960s when I was in grade school. It was a big honor to be able to use it under the careful supervision of the school secretary.
This was amazing to me. Such a beautiful old church. It is really a flashback. All the books, clothes and those stained glass windows were beautiful. I hope someone comes in and rescues this church before it gets worse. I liked the wood-burning stove in that back room with the old table with the fold-down leaf. It had a wide variety of reading material.
Incredible! My mouth was hanging half open in astonishment for a good proportion of the video. The amount of junk in there is unbelievable...and filling such a huge building. JP, sorry I missed the live view, .. very cool place, I thought you'd make a pot of coffee or hot chocolate with one of those coffee pots and whip up some dinner with all those spices lol... fascinating structure and I loved the arches/ beams in the ceiling, they were impressive. Thank God you didn't go through the weak spot in the floor .. thank you for showing another awesome video. I appreciate your willingness to do this for us.
Just SAD! The waste of the beautiful church, the waste of all the things donated. It could all be used to benefit so many people. Someone should be VERY ashamed at letting it all just sit there and rot.
Amazing find. Great stained glass windows and woodworking. Nice to see very little graffiti and no destruction except from Mother Nature and time. Lots of stuff in almost every room. I wonder why there were so many different things, clothes, bikes, airplanes and old furniture and toys. A very interesting place for sure! I really enjoyed this video
JPVideos oh ok that makes sense. I could have spent days there just looking thru all the goodies! I just don’t get why it has sat for 30 years, so beautiful and sad at the same time. I really enjoyed this one for sure. Thanks for taking me along!
Very beautiful! When you said homeless were seen coming in and out all I could think is people looking fon sanctuary. But know that can be a whole different can of worms. Too bad all of it!
On the bench in the church I saw a Ric-Rac aka Paddleball and the Stereo/tv was in the late 70's but that was the larger one I had ever seen. You had to have money to buy that with the cassette deck on it! This was really awesome! You do a fabulous job! You are doing your calling... PERFECT!
Freakin AWESOMENESS!!!! We have been lucky enough to do a few churches ourselves but none were as pristine as this one!!!! Very nice find and great explore!!!!! We are glad that one of your viewers gave you a heads up on this place!!!! :) :)
Wow! Missed the premiere but thankfully get a chance to watch it now! I'd love to know where this church is however I understand completely why you won't disclose the location. It saddens me so when I see ANY location vandalized, destroyed. I will never understand how or why people can't just look around and leave things be. JMHO. GREAT video! Looking forward to whats to come in the future!
Im not joking when I say this is one of the best posts Ive seen on You Tube. The beauty of this Church with its roof beams and stained glass windows is absolutely awesome. Heavenly, but why oh why was it abandoned. Its so very tragic. One thing Im very pleased about is the homeless having somewhere to sleep and out of the bitter weather. Clothes for extra layers. God Bless them all. JP will this beautiful House of God be raised to the ground ? Makes me so very sad ❤🌷❤🌷❤
this is wonderful. (more than wonderful) it's the same era of church i was brought up in. for the size of this church, never saw so much stained glass. I (and i know you, lol) would love to have this as a house,, i'm sure there was a pipe organ in this, there would have been a handle sticking out near where the choir would sing, to pump the organ,, those were torn out many years ago. I think what is there is a Leslie,, and the spinning 'horns' is what made the sound give a reverberation. very expensive set up at that time. the lights in the place are the same as my old church was, is. hope this place gets used. i do follow your stuff, but you've done so much!
@@tatertott2390👍yes! my eyes go straight to wood & craftsmenship... I said twenties, but it may have been 20s to 40s that I picked up on! Definitely seems like there were people living there. Maybe the church took in people who were evicted or the homeless. As it should be today!
A lovely old church, but sad it is decaying away, although, even in that, there is great beauty to be found. Loved the stained glass windows. It is still also a blessing to someone needing a home. Such a wonderful find & Ty for sharing!!
When you "fade in" if you look at the top of your head on the right side you will see an orb come from your head and float up. That's what drained your light when you were looking at the organ right after you "faded in". It's a greenish color orb. I saw something on the left side of the screen that looked like an orb or maybe dust, that disappeared into a pew behind you. I could be wrong about all of this. Thank you for another great video!!!
It's sad to see such a beautiful place fall into a state such as this 💔😢😞 I'm very surprised they didn't donate all the clothes and leftovers from the rummage sale...a great many of those things could have been put to good use. Absolutely love all the gorgeous stained glass and very shocked to see it in such good condition 👏👍👌❤ What a wonderful place to explore and yet another awesome video 😊🥰💕💕💕 Thanks so much for taking us all along with y'all !❤ A completely fun and interesting place to explore. As always Blessed be and stay safe ❤🙏
Beautiful little church. Maybe could sell all the treasures inside to fix it up. Looks like some interesting finds. I really hope someone will get this place running again. So many possibilities. Another great video. Glad you didnt fall through the floor.
I was fascinated and saddened at the same time while watching. The place had to be stunning at some point in time. Why do you think all those collections were left behind and not auctioned off, sold, or at least donated? Really sad to see the building decay like that. The pews and stained glass needs to be preserved before they are damaged!
thanks for the video JP ! The church is beautiful with its stunning stained glass and great woodwork. It's sad that it sits quiet now. Looking forward to your next video.
There are so many towns and cities crying for places for homeless people to live. If this church could be fixed up and turned into some kind of homeless shelter, it would be wonderful. Just a thought. Looks as if part of the building has a large amount of water damage. It's sad to see such a magnificent building rotting. Beautiful stained glass windows!
Wow you found a Leslie speaker! I'm sure that was hooked up to the organ. Leslie speakers are heavy duty tube speakers that have an internal horn that spins and creates a natural vibrato - usually for organs or keyboards. When I record videos of orbs, I'll sometimes let them use my battery and it will run out quickly or my camera light will turn off. This is a beautiful place, I can feel spirit there. Thanks for sharing this!
The Multigraph Duplicator at 44:00 is basically a copy machine from 1955. You'd make a master paper using carbon, and the machine would transfer the carbon onto blank sheets using a liquid. There's one listed on ebay for 3k. Maybe to the right collector. Very historic.
This is so cool soooooo many neat details in the church itself odd about your light going out in the video those stained glass windows are amazing great video guys thank you for documenting before it was lost to tine and decay. Churches are so pretty they don't make buildings like these anymore there is so much stuff this must have been a killer rummage sale great job guys cant wait till next one !! AWESOME !!!👍
it was more than a church . a school , party place , shelter , sharing ... looks like a commune ..but no cross has been seen. so much money wasted , so much material wasted and also memory wasted. History is the past wasted.
Beautiful church, nice woodwork and absolutely stunning stained glass! An unbelievable amount of just “stuff”! America has truly become a “throw-away society”!
So sad this beautiful church is going to ruins 🙁 it has so much potential and with the right people could be turned into a nice home! Or back to a church again...
The Hammond organ is likely a c3 very closely related to the b3 often heard in blues and jazz recordings. c3 was church and did not have second or third percussion tabs. these instruments are no longer made but are iconic and valuable if just for parts. the rotating speaker cabinet is a Lesley. likley a122 often used with m-b and c organs. they should be rescued. as they are valued by musicians world wide .
Most amazing architecture. It's crazy how much stuff is in there, maybe that's why it's abandoned, to much stuff to move around, just leave it and build a new church and start over again.
what beautiful windows ! i'm glad people are sheltering there respectfully.no vandalism. it is still so lovely; perhaps it's the homeless making sure of that.. i believe Jesus is smiling . y'all keep safe & keep exloring. nancy in ga usa.
Beautiful church! Watching had my "ocd" triggered though at first in the sanctuary I had a strong urge to group and organize all the stuff in a central location. It's too bad the church was left without basic upkeep even though it wasn't in use could of prevented a lot of the water damage. I can only assume that it ran into financial trouble and wasn't cost effective to fix at the time. Maybe they found "major" foundation problems? Or was at least told a very high number to fix? Sad though to see it in a state of disrepair. Nice video, great find.
That machine at about 43:38 That says Radiograph on it is a mineograph machine. Remember the handouts in school with purple ink that everyone loved to smell? Kids today will never know that smell. My grandpa was an accountant for the Radiograph company in the 30' and 40's. They made all kinds of "modern" office machines.

I hope to update if they ever reopen.
I didnt have any marshmallows for the hot coco.

The teddy ruckspin bear was in great shape shame hes going to waste as usual another great find jay and mike
Most were dropped off for rummage sales.
PERFECT!
Thanks oct
Freakin AWESOMENESS!!!! We have been lucky enough to do a few churches ourselves but none were as pristine as this one!!!! Very nice find and great explore!!!!! We are glad that one of your viewers gave you a heads up on this place!!!! :) :)
Once in a while, we get lucky and are able to share these beautiful locations.
Thank you lola

Im not joking when I say this is one of the best posts Ive seen on You Tube. The beauty of this Church with its roof beams and stained glass windows is absolutely awesome. Heavenly, but why oh why was it abandoned. Its so very tragic. One thing Im very pleased about is the homeless having somewhere to sleep and out of the bitter weather. Clothes for extra layers. God Bless them all. JP will this beautiful House of God be raised to the ground ? Makes me so very sad ❤🌷❤🌷❤

Stumbled upon your channel. Watched a couple of videos. Had to Subscribe. Great can’t wait to see what you discover next!
Thanks dana
Your welcome
this is wonderful.
Love this JP!!! Drooling over the woodwork and stained glass! Looks like a lot of old 20s cedar furniture was left behind.
Good filming too!
I was checking it all out too!! Lol there was some really nice dressers
@@tatertott2390👍yes! my eyes go straight to wood & craftsmenship... I said twenties, but it may have been 20s to 40s that I picked up on! Definitely seems like there were people living there. Maybe the church took in people who were evicted or the homeless. As it should be today!
Glad you enjoyed it
A lovely old church, but sad it is decaying away, although, even in that, there is great beauty to be found. Loved the stained glass windows. It is still also a blessing to someone needing a home. Such a wonderful find & Ty for sharing!!
Thanks for watching bre
When you "fade in" if you look at the top of your head on the right side you will see an orb come from your head and float up. That's what drained your light when you were looking at the organ right after you "faded in". It's a greenish color orb. I saw something on the left side of the screen that looked like an orb or maybe dust, that disappeared into a pew behind you. I could be wrong about all of this. Thank you for another great video!!!
You're welcome susan
It must have been a well off Church at one time with all that equipment?
Im guessing
It's sad to see such a beautiful place fall into a state such as this 💔😢😞 I'm very surprised they didn't donate all the clothes and leftovers from the rummage sale...a great many of those things could have been put to good use.
Absolutely love all the gorgeous stained glass and very shocked to see it in such good condition 👏👍👌❤
What a wonderful place to explore and yet another awesome video 😊🥰💕💕💕 Thanks so much for taking us all along with y'all !❤ A completely fun and interesting place to explore.
As always Blessed be and stay safe ❤🙏
i find it sad to see abandoned places but churches seem extra sad for some reason
The machine shown with the handle crank is a memograph machine. Our church used to print the bulletin with one of those
I have ways thought it would be cool to renovate one of these these old churches into a house/mansion. Thanks for the great video 😀
Beautiful little church. Maybe could sell all the treasures inside to fix it up. Looks like some interesting finds. I really hope someone will get this place running again. So many possibilities. Another great video. Glad you didnt fall through the floor.
Im glad too
I was fascinated and saddened at the same time while watching. The place had to be stunning at some point in time. Why do you think all those collections were left behind and not auctioned off, sold, or at least donated? Really sad to see the building decay like that. The pews and stained glass needs to be preserved before they are damaged!
I honestly dont know. Still lots of good and valuable items left there.
thanks for the video JP ! The church is beautiful with its stunning stained glass and great woodwork. It's sad that it sits quiet now. Looking forward to your next video.
Ty lisa
Mike's choice of tshirt to wear in a church is priceless 😂😂
Thanks for checking it out
The Leslie Speaker makes me suspect the last Tennants were a Black church.
The Multigraph Duplicator at 44:00 is basically a copy machine from 1955. You'd make a master paper using carbon, and the machine would transfer the carbon onto blank sheets using a liquid. There's one listed on ebay for 3k. Maybe to the right collector. Very historic.
Thanks for the info
I appreciate your view on homelessness.
Wow! What an amazing building. Cannot believe its been abandoned for so long. Cool video.
JP and Mike, I have to agree with you. Definitely a top 5 of buildings. Beautiful but sad nonetheless.
Ty
Awesome explore, thanks for sharing. Beautiful architecture and stain glass and carvings on the pews, etc. Hope it gets repurposed some day.
it was more than a church . a school , party place , shelter , sharing ... looks like a commune ..but no cross has been seen.
so much money wasted , so much material wasted and also memory wasted. History is the past wasted.
MrBall Breeder it’s terrible it was left like that!
Beautiful church, nice woodwork and absolutely stunning stained glass! An unbelievable amount of just “stuff”! America has truly become a “throw-away society”!
Glad to see Mike with you! Beautiful church. How could anybody let it go to ruin like that?
Economic ineptitude
JP! Thanks for this video! Wow, you weren't kidding, that is a large building. You rock, keep them coming!
Thanks
I love old abandoned churches! This is definately one of my favorite videos of yours.
Happy to hear that
So sad this beautiful church is going to ruins 🙁 it has so much potential and with the right people could be turned into a nice home! Or back to a church again...
What a shame that so much is just left to rot. So much can be done with and could be put to good use!!
Ty
Thank you for doing your part to protect the church, you get a big thumbs up from me :)
Thanks
It seems like this is what the end of the world would look like. No people, just their stuff.
Was a beauty in its hayday.
The windows are amazing. thanks for checking it out...

This church is definitely beautiful and should be protected. The design and architecture visuals are awesome! Wow! 😲
I really enjoy your videos and how much you respect the places you visit. Thanks for being awesome and sharing this with us!
You're welcome
That machine at about 43:38 That says Radiograph on it is a mineograph machine. Remember the handouts in school with purple ink that everyone loved to smell? Kids today will never know that smell. My grandpa was an accountant for the Radiograph company in the 30' and 40's. They made all kinds of "modern" office machines.
Awesome explore! Thanks for bringing us along.
