I have an old 60-card vintage deck, based around Migrim, "the Rack", and "Oppression", this deck seems like a good starting point to convert that deck to a Commander deck.

Sarevok is such a cool commander. I tried building mine with Folk Hero to make him a knight typal deck. The spicy kick to it is that it is also a Nazgûl deck since they are knights too. Made for nice aggressive deck that helped make life totals drop fast.

Omg I love this dude. Coming back to him again and again. Build a Karador deck dedicated to him and am trying mono black with cultist of the absolute background this video hits at the right time

Sarevok is by far my favorite pauper commander, and that deck very easily fits into regular commander games

I don’t know if I’m missing something but there’s a huge focus on an opponent not removing or sacrificing their own permanents in order to prevent sarevoks ability, this makes no sense as they can just remove permanents from *anyones* board. Creatures dying in Combat, kill spells, bounce spells, nearly any interaction will shut down sarevoks ability.
Even at 10:15 you seem to outright misunderstand his ability, stating that using supernatural stamina will save sarevok (true) and allow him to still burn the opponent (untrue as he left the battlefield this turn, despite having returned).
It feels like this makes this already flimsy strategy much worse.

Yes. He will not be able to burn them THAT TURN, but there are other turns in the cycle.
The point is to limit your opponents options so far that they can't remove him or their own cards, and in the event they do. Have enough burn to kill your opponents anyways

crazy how i wanted to build this background combo for a different challenge i made for me and friends: make commander deck of partner/background with the catch being it has to be monocolored! when i saw this combo, as well as a few other it made me think of the challenge and so i suggested them to build such decks!

Not gonna lie, before being spoiled on the background, I thought you were gonna do the Dimir route to counter spells or cancel abilities on the cheap. Still a sweet deck though!

still hoping one day we get a $15 dollar deck list for Mortarion, Daemon Primarch

@thunderboltgamer7368 definitely agree! I LOVE my Mortarion, Daemon Primarch deck to bits. I haven't updated it in a while, but it's called Mortarion's Life Juggle on Archidekt. It's DEFINITELY over $15 (damn doubled in price apparently oh jeez), but I'm very tempted to build another version anyway.

My Sarevok build uses Raised By Giants to make a Golgari deck that essentially is just a Savra deck in disguise, but after playing it a couple of times, I think I might just boot Sarevok and make it a Savra Deck instead.

This deck looks like it would get the entire table to focus you. D; You can only get your opponents to discard, sacrifice, and drain so much before it angers the table.

Ok. I get that you needed to adjust the price slightly but could you have reflected it in the title? I just don't care to be misled even if it is something small like this
