Honest question, does that bag make any difference to feel or sound in the armrest? Is it worth it for the user? It sounds like it is only worth it for the applier and then after that the user gets to hear a new noise and the feel is now different too. Though maybe they won't notice because they didn't compare fresh cover no bag with fresh cover bagged. I have ADHD to be honest this shit would annoy me a whole lot hahaha. Just saying I would rather sweat and curse at my damn truck for hours to get this on if it meant I preferred no bag was in there after.
I just purchased a set of armrest. My question is can I remove my original ripped up armrest cover then install yours. I was just gonna cut my old one off with some sharp scissors or pocket knife.
It will depend on your Year/Make/Model some of those armrests are mold injected so the foam and the cracking vinyl are one solid piece. If that is the case you have a high chance of damaging the structure, what you could do instead is tape the bad section down and if needed add 1/4" foam on top of that using a spray adhesive. You can then install using the same exact procedure, the tightness of the new cover will hold everything in place.
Hey Matthew, thanks for reaching out, we don't want to give you a specific size since they could change slightly depending on the year/make/model of your vehicle but we would suggest if they do carry a Torx Bit to try different sizes to see which fits best.
Great video
Thanks for the support!
I have the stop broken off and the armrest doesn’t stay up do you have a video on repairing it. Thanks. Eric
Unfortunately, we don't have a video on that repair. Sorry about that!
