Civilians can actually buy authentic casino-grade chips that even come with real inlays/stickers but they're expensive, with the most popular denominations running between $5 and $100. The casinos are actually quite eager to sell them to you as you don't even have to venture into the grift shop to buy them - they sell them right there at the table games! They even offer 24 hour full cash refunds if/when you become dissatisfied with them.
What's really convenient is the price tag is right on the chip.
BR Pro Poker Dia de los Muertos is what we use at home. 9.7g ceramics. Great feel, sound, dimensional consistency, durability, and cool fun artwork. They have a bunch of different stock designs (I understnd that Tiki Kings are hugely popular too). Consider the math… 1000 chips is 9700g or 9.7 kg or nearly 22 lbs or 11 lbs if you go with 500 chips. There’s a reason why the case for my 1000 chip set came with wheels on it (which i intend to remove, but whatever).
If ya want Casino chips from Las Vegas... just go gamble and walk home with em. Got a load of em. Stardust is one of my faves though.
I mean, Classic Poker Chips will literally sell directly to the consumer; and those chips will be brand new.
They don't have same feel @@SergeantExtreme
@@kadinschultz2179 This is a joke, right? Classic Poker Chips literally sell to real world casinos. Chances are, the chips your local casino uses are from CPC.
I like them but since I've got my set I wouldn't be in the market for a whole set. I DO like collecting sample sets though.
What do you think of Poker Chip Lounge ceramics?
I’m new to collecting casino chips..what’s the best way to tell if it’s a Paulson or another type? I’m in research mode lol
very solid info!
I've narrowed my search to two poker chip sets. The sets I'm looking at are the Outlaw and the Spartan. How do these compare with each other and which is the better buy? Thanks.
They're literally the same. Just pick your favorite design and go with it.
Still at it 🎩
BAD NEWS!!! CPC is closing down on april 27 2025 i think
A deal has been made. Classic poker chips will continue operating
Who would you recommend for non ceramic custom chips? Either china clay or slugged?
Clay provides a better feeling than slugged.
BR Poker does make some high-quality ceramics. Those cards are extremely hard to read. You should retire those! ;)
They’re pretty cool chips, but the texture on the outside is pretty sleek feeling and there isn’t a lot of grip to them.
Ha, those cards are retired! Don't know if it showed up but that copper wore off super quick.
Can anyone save me 19 minutes? What’s the difference? 😂
Casino chips tend to be made out of clay, while consumer chips tend to be made out of plastic.
