That was a very good hunt indeed. King charles coins disappeared within a week or so over my way. I was lucky enough to get a couple rolls and Gary Mc sent me two rolls and they had small cuds on some. I have only ever found 1 afl team coin.
Awesome keepers there Philly! The NIFC is a surprising pick up. 3 spew roos on the 3rd kangaroo is absolutely top notch. Very well done. Amazing hunt. Good for you 😊
G'day Phill, great $1 hunt, nice KCIII roo cuds, awesome NIFC Swans coin, cool proof coin and nice bunch of commemorative keepers, interesting that you only picked up 1 GACH3 coin, I feel like these coins are drying up now as I don't find many these days, I haven't done a noodle for several days, I will try my luck tomorrow. Cheers Peter J 😂👋✌🙏👍
Hi Phil great hunt , nice nifc😊 always on the lookout for new and different cuds so nice pickup there. My last hunt with 50c I picked up a aiatsis, 2 x 2020's, 2 x cof , 2 x language, 3 x marbos and 4 x 2019 irb's . $300 hunt. Plenty still out there. Happy noodling buddy😊😊😊
New to the channel phil, just watch the whole episode and new to coin collecting. Grats on the finds and subbed now too.. I started collecting when i was given a round 50 cent in change at the servo, and since then have been collecting only what given in change but do like the hunt of it all. Matt.
Thanks Matt. Welcome to the channel. That's a great way to collect. I do say on the channel, You collect the way you want to. I hope that you can you my videos to help identify all the different coins that you can get in change. Good luck.
Great video Phil. I enjoy watching you find these coins. I have some of the BIG one's but not all of course - still looking. I have been collecting coins and banknotes since I was 13 years old and I am 60 years old, it's not a huge collection as I did stop for several years but I am now collecting all the commemorative and coloured coins I come across. Thanks for your channel and I have already subscribed.
Great finds I have several of those frosted looking coins in other denominations like the ten-cent coin. In my last noodling session. I had $40 in ten cent rolls I would have found a dozen frosted coins in that hunt. I would assume the frosting would be the same effect on all proof coins. I will now have to back through the entire hunt again and see if I can retrieve some of them. I was not sure if this was an error, proof coin or just softer metal alloy.
@@PhilFindsCollects I found a few the 1990 ten cent coins seem to have the most frosting of all the dates. However, I found several year dates with frosting. Out of those finds I have three 1990 ten cent coins, two have considerable frosting and one has no frosting?
Always great to see you find NIFCs, whilst watching I actually found one myself! It's a standard German 50 euro cent which weren't minted for circulation between 2004 and 2022. This one's from 2008, but sadly its rather ugly and damaged. But with a mintage of just 70,000 I wont complain! :D
Hi Phil, I've watched today's session of $1 coins, I have a fair few of those in my collection, I would like to know their value, how do I go about finding out pls.
If you are new to the hobby and you have a lot to go through, making a list and having a local coin shop review the list could work. And a list could also be good if you dont have a local shop and you have to go to the internet to find someone to ask.
Hi Phil, I have only just started coin collecting since I was handed over a whole heap of coins when my sister in law passed away and my brother is now in a home and he passed the coins to me. Now I'm hooked and watching for coins all the time. I don;t know who to show them to for valuation. cheers
Thanks Zita, Sounds like you have a ready made collection. That's great. If it is a large collection then maybe buy a valuation book that covers all of the types of Australian coins, like Renniks books. And then take a selection to local coins shop for review.
Hi Phil I’m new to the coin collecting through my mums collection I began putting a lot of commemorative coins away with hers as mum has said that I will get them when sh3s ready to give them up to me including my pops coins I have come across a 20 c coin I believe is an error as never seen it before it’s a 2021 the queens crown actually touch3s the A in Australia also has a dot between the II and the Australia let me know if possible what you think
Very cool Tracy, I wish you luck with your collecting. Sound like you might have found a possible error. One way to check is to compare your coin with a few others from the same year.
I’m a newbie coin hunter 😊Could you (or someone) tell me why circulated 1996s are selling for thousands on eBay? I can’t see any errors or reason why? What am I missing?
Hi Lisa-Maree Thanks for the question. Few points 1. Its not worth anything like the amount asked. 2. None have been sold at anything like that price. 3. EBay sellers can ask any price they want for their items, it doesn't mean that they are worth it. At the most an uncirculated one of these should be worth around $5 . I pick up these in virtually every hunt and it only ever costs me $1. Thanks for reminding people to do their own research when looking to complete their own collections.

Hi Margo, Thanks for your questions. Both the Perth Mint and the Royal Australian Mint in Canberra have websites where they advertise and sell their coins. The Perth mint can send out a brochure in advance of their coins releases if you bought from them online. The Royal Australian Mint Wont advertise upcoming coins generally until a week or two before release. It hard to know with the RAM. That's why i do my coins news in my $2 hunt videos. Why do people in Australia call die chips cuds when in America cuds are on the rim of the coin ?
