As a conservative myself, I find it very upsetting how this interview unfolded. While I do not agree financially on a lot of NDP policies, I can entirely understand where Mr. Singh stands on these issues. It is unfair to grill him and frankly speak over the leader as he answers the question being asked. This took away from the voters who had questions, and showed the clear difference between how CBC interviews NDP candidates compared to Liberal candidates. Just my two cents.
I disagree. I appreciate when Rosie goes hard on leaders. They need to clearly state their positions so I can know what their voting for. I’m an NDP vote, and liked how Singh handled the hard wuestions

It really bothered me that he was completely unable to take an active position as to what he would do with the pipeline. Rosie gave him several opportunities to provide a real answer. On this basis, he lost me as a potential supporter. I guess this intervention actually did accomplish something. I’m not able to vote NDP.

Mr Singh is not afraid nor in the pockets of the rich. He is indeed a man of the people. I truly believe in his ambition and his ability to lead this country. He’s certainly got my vote.
I live on disability and i get 400$ a month after rent and i get that much because i live in social housing. 2200 a month would quintuple my income. I could actually do something other than listen to youtube

Removal of money from a person with 20 million in the bank and taxing him on only 10 million is NOTHING for them and they will just make more money somewhere else to make up the difference. That money can be used to create job, build homes, fix roads, invest in Canadian manufacturing, etc. Invest in Canada and those who live in it and profit from it should help maintain and build it up and not just live off the backs of others.

I would really like to know how you can convert an abandoned oil well into a thermal power plant. That doesn't seem very feasible with the cleanup required. Maybe with natural gas wells but I would like to see an example of this if anyone can find one. - TY

Everyone works for it, but everyone only has 24 hours in a day to make a living. Cost of living is really high these days. I make more than minimum wage and I find it hard financially. I don't even overspend on leisure you know. I can't imagine living on a minimum wage even after it has gone up to 14$ in Ontario. My groceries alone used to be 50$ or less in 2015, now it is 100-120$. My place is about 1500 per month cause I've been living there a while but if I were to move out and back in my place goes for 2,000/month. The people who are rich keep getting richer and the middle an lower class are getting poorer. It is very depressing. Even if you go to school to get a higher paid job there is only a certain amount to go around. This whole work hard for money doesn't work because the rich who own the money set how much most of the people get paid and well even though some companies are setting good example like shopify, most do not folllow that trend. So how hard do you expect people to work? Cause you can work all the time, but what are you living for at that point?
Energy corridor / highway. Oil, gas, electric and new high speed rail for freight would be transformative for Canada and unite us and play a crucial role in the future. Might cost a few trillion but a drop in the bucket over a 50 years.

Finland has a company that makes car batteries for EV that are 100% recyclable. The company is growing very quickly and now supplies most of the batteries for the EU. We could do the same thing here.

Surely the hostess at the door can check for passport prior to seating the customer so no need for extra staff.
Lots of small restaurants have nothing more than an order counter and a self seating area. No hostess. No door staff.

Finland has a company that makes car batteries for EV that are 100% recyclable. The company is growing very quickly and now supplies most of the batteries for the EU. We could do the same thing here.
