I always told that as a cute story until my therapist heard it and looked at me and was like, well yes, affection was currency in your family and you were poor.
Honestly breaking something and being able to put it back together should be considered a superpower. Especially with techy stuff. That like minute of silence caught me off guard lol
The velveteen rabbit was so traumatic for me that it haunted my nightmares and subconscious for years. But I couldn’t remember the name of it (must’ve blocked it out). So I had no language for the horror I was reexperiencing - perhaps that was the scariest part.
I wasn't scared of the velveteen rabbit BUT it filled me with this profound disturbing sadness that I had never experienced in my life before and I remember thinking that this was how I would feel for the rest of my life and wondering how I would cope with it
I literally personified scraps of paper so my stuffed animals were REAL to me to the point I got embarrassed in front of them, I felt like I witnessed a murder
I wasn’t afraid of the Velvateen Rabbit, but there was this old book called “There’s a Monster at the End of This Book”, and it was a Sesame Street book where Grover was actively trying to prevent you from reaching the end of the book. I was so genuinely convinced that there was some terrifying creature at the end that my mom had to take the book off of my bookshelf. It was more psychologically terrifying for a 5 year old versus visually traumatic

it’s usually just a clip from a tv show/youtube video, any kind of already made stolen content (usually either family guy for some reason or sensory videos) and sometimes a voice over on top of that, and it’s usually split screened with someone playing a game 😭 the accounts that make them just pump them out day after day it’s insane
