Came here from review on Honda Navi, $1800. Commenter said “ get a “ Buddy .”You’re comments on scooters makes sense and you’re a funny guy. Your thinking out loud is a kick . Gonna check out price of Buddy.
Genuine is a good company, you don't see it Europe at all. I wonder why, but right now Europe is being flooded with electric vehicles and chinese scooters.
Nice vid! I just got myself a 2009 Buddy 125 a couple of weeks ago. I'm looking forward to cruising around on it this summer when I move to Denver in May. Only 612 miles! Old lady ridden and never spent a night outside, until I got it :( Still covered tho. Gotta grab some gear. Thanks for sharing!
@@nyazz22 I wouldn’t let it sit for over a week too be safe, start it let it warm up for a couple mins then kill it or try your luck with fuel stabilizer or put it away with no fuel. As far as riding I’ve crashed one time pretty good and learned the idle is really important being that it’s automatic I was coming into a turn pretty fast in heavy rain the idle was too low so I had to really twist the throttle to get it too catch first gear when it caught I was on a painted line and the back end went out I slid 10feet with my hands on the bars slowing the bike down too pick it up before the next car came around the corner. Your idles good if when you cold start your bike it wants too ride away on the side kickstand (be careful it will on some terrain) until the automatic choke turns of and it’s a little warm then you should have a centimeter of throttle play before you start moving
@@buffering7612 Thank you for the information. The husband of the owner said that he would put fuel stabilizer into the tank because it didn't get ridden very much. I'll definitely do some more research about winterization. I bought the scoot in ABQ and brought it back to SW Colorado where we are about 1000' higher. When the bike is on the center stand and starts cold there is some rotation in the rear wheel but it doesn't get going too fast. It seems like the throttle response is super peppy and responsive. I've had no issues working on my tight figure 8s with the lack of response but I'll double check the throttle play too. This thing was babied for sure for the 12 years the couple had it. They bought it new and the husband is an engineer so I feel like I inherited a well kept bike. I'd like to do the same. Give it the proper treatment. That's wild that you took a spill. Fingers crossed, but I got gear now in that hopefully never event.
@@buffering7612 Runs. I made some mods. Recessed led turn signals and a head light. I have an exhaust with no muffler. I wanna do engine mods and keep!
@@CodyDoesIt So long as Biden doesn’t let China invade Taiwan we should have parts indefinitely. I like too roll up too red lights so they turn green before I put my feet down then if I’m taking a hard right I wheelie an inch and effortlessly do a 180
Opinion on the windshield ?? Love the vid and ur opinions i had street bikes my whole life and love my buddy kick more than any of them scoot culture is so awesome

MSRP is $2,899, and for the level of convenience and ability of it, it's absolutely worth the price
I got the 170i just to have that little extra power boost. Honestly, I love this scooter so so so much

Genuine is an import company .. that's why you don't see the brand in Europe . Most probably imported under another brand. @@motardsquid
Your minute by minute train of thought is so entertaining I got the biggest kick out of this video I appreciate the content 👌😄
Came here to review scooters, stayed because this dude is hilarious.

You know know to store it when your not using it? If you do you should have good luck and get over 7500miles out of it before it needs parts
@@buffering7612 nope, currently riding it everyday and will continue to until winter hits again. Any tips?

Thumbs up great video catch you later brother
How’s the reliability? Would you recommend this over a 50cc Honda Metropolitan?
The 50cc metro is much slower. The genuine buddy is reliable and easy to work on. Its hard to go bad on both.
What camera do u use for filming on the scooter?
Bro, fucking hilarious...I'm still laughing...
I LOVE the nod to DUMB and DUMBER at the start, and yes women LOVE scooters. I might buy one just for that reason because 'm a total loser. LOL.
Is it legal to drive the scooter in any side of the cars if you are trying to pass them while they are not moving?
Like by the side of the side walk or the other side?
You have to follow the same rules. But i found that the police tend to me more relaxed with scooters.
don't know if it's legal but it doesn't look like a good idea
You can pass cars if they're at a stand still
I own one.. If it’s not a sweet used deal don’t get yourself onto a bike with drum brakes it’s not cool 🤦🏻
You so funny
watched this to see what this moped rides like and enjoyed your commentary
What’s the top speed on it
i think a little over 62
Nice....my honda elite 80 does 42mph my morpheous 250 is governed at 80 but it pulls...
@@motardsquid 62? how much do you weigh? height and weight i feel play a big role
Looks like it's derestricted
