He knows now that those particular animals aren’t welcome and will take initiative next time. His instincts are fine.

I just imagine that coyote holding as still as possible. Praying that the massive barking dog does not find it and then the moment you start running towards it the coyotes like oh no. Oh I need to leave and then it sees this gargantuan Beast of a dog charging at it, knowing full well that is not an enemy that is a predator

Remember that coyotes are famous for sending one out as bait to lure the animal to the rest of the pack.
Not a knock cause he is def a good boy for going after it. Just lost 2 dogs that way and would hate to see you feel the same.

Your the leader of the pack , he's gave the warning now the leader of pack must lead !!😂😂
Az is a good boy !!
Sorry, this is just to funny Nate
I'm the leader of my pack and my 2 fur babies are 25 lb each.
Follow my lead/orders and protect me from anything they think is a threat .
And if I start to give chase after something they follow my lead and usually are ahead of me 😊 because now they must not only chase whatever it is I'm chasing but they got to protect the leader me😉 from it .
The one is a jack rusell terrier , they don't give up.
Love the homestead you and Jen are growing.
    Wish you both well
