    If you watch this video backwards it's a happy story about a group of people who go through the city collecting scattered bombs and disarming them, before opening a bike shop. Very inspiring.

    I have been a huge fan since my early 20s, now at 43 I finally get to go see them live this October in Chicago 💜 now my kids are old enough to go too so bringing my son with me. Cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for this 💜💜

    This song is what introduced me to Rise Against all those years ago, and it's still one of my favorite songs. If only more people had this mentality.

    I love how even though Rise Against are famous and do get quite a lot of money, they write songs like these speaking about the problems that the lower class end of society faces, and they donate so much of their money to charities and take time out of their own lives to stand up for what's right. I love you RA, never stop making awesome music!

      +VeganMotorcyclePilot I believe it's more that we bug them (irritate the people) until they actually do something about it. So by say we crawl all over you and insects in your ears they are meaning to be a pest and will not stop. Go Rise Against!

      Rise Against definitely bear the touch in 2021, so if you were saying most important in today's scene I'd agree they are one of the front runners for sure.

    This song reminds me so much of someone back home who has tried to bring me down countless times. But in the end, so long as I stand up to anyone like that in my life, then I'll never fail to see that they are nothing compared to me and I need waste no time on them, because in the end, I am the one who crawls all over them.

    Text
    To the sound of a heartbeat pounding away
    To the rhythm of the awful rusted machines
    We toss and turn but don't sleep
    Each breath we take makes us thieves
    Like causes without rebels
    Just talk but promise nothing else
    We crawl on our knees for you
    Under a sky no longer blue
    We sweat all day long for you
    But we sow seeds to see us through
    But sometimes dreams just don't come true
    We wait to reap what we are due
    To the rhythm of a time bomb ticking away
    And the blare of the sirens combing the streets
    Chased down like dogs we run from
    Your grasp until the sun comes up
    We crawl on our knees for you
    Under a sky no longer blue
    We sweat all day long for you
    But we sow seeds to see us through
    But sometimes dreams just don't come true
    Look now at what they've done to you
    White needles buried in the red
    The engine roars and then it gives
    But never dies
    'Cause we don't live
    We just survive
    On the scraps that you throw away
    I won't crawl on my knees for you
    I won't believe the lies that hide the truth
    I won't sweat one more drop for you
    Cause we are the rust upon your gears
    We are the insect in your ears
    We crawl
    We crawl
    We crawl, all over you
    We sow the seeds to see us through
    Our days are precious and so few
    We all reap what we are due
    Under this sky no longer blue
    We bring the dawn all over new
    We crawl
    We crawl
    We crawl, all over you

    People who think this song (or video) calls for violent revolution please listen. It doesn't call upon people to blow stuf up it calls upon goverments to listen to its people and make revolution through peaceful means possible or face the consequences as show in the video, revolution trough violent means.

If everyone can change individually then the society can change as a whole.So you must never stop believing that there will be a drastical change even if you are the only one that believes that. • @xLAOxYESx
    @xLAOxYESx 9 ปีที่แล้ว +491

    *Sigh*
    No need to reply to this.
    Rise Against is absolutely not promoting and insinuating that people bomb cities for real "change".
    This video and song is showing what *would* or *could* happen if, for instance, a government, or some other kind of authority, makes extremely rash decisions that are either completely wrong in nature or go against what their country/people may stand for.
    This kind of behaviour may *provoke* certain people living under that authority to react violently solely because the actions of said authority were just that harsh, especially if it's been happening for a long time.
    The lyrics "...We bring a dawn long overdue" may imply this.
    Wouldn't be that surprising if people living under authority like that would feel like they have been *failed* by them.
    If anything, violent acts of revolution, like bombing, are the last thing people want to happen, especially if people just want things to change for the better.
    There's a reason they show that quote by John F. Kennedy in the beginning. :/

    • @jasonirwin4631
      @jasonirwin4631 9 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      Yes the video also brings up a another big question. When have you become the evil you fight? The bombers hit civilian buildings it didn't look like there hypothetical enemy was attacked at all. Did these hypothetical revolutionaries kill innocent people in there cross fire. If deadly force is to be used then make sure you have the right target because you won't get a second chance.

    • @aninjatwitch
      @aninjatwitch 9 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Jason Irwin actions like bombings are done soley for attention. gunning down crowds would have been much more destructive if that was the point they were going to do.

    • @PoliticalThrowback
      @PoliticalThrowback 9 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Could have easily been corporate buildings. Corporations are soulless conglomerates of evil that cannot be prosecuted but have the ability to buy politicians due to their voluminous capital assets.
      Kill corporations.

    • @jasonirwin4631
      @jasonirwin4631 9 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Join, or Die how do plan on kill this evil? By burn there buildings and kill there members or by organizing a movement to end there corruption. Is the corporate 1 percent so evil that you will risk bystanders in the cross fire? In video that bombing was late at night when CEO's and bored members could have left the building. Yes the attack did some damage but nothing major as far as get attention that General public will most likely see that as a terrorist attack and rally behind the government. If you think that a revolution needs extreme violence and bloodshed then your movement will go nowhere. If people in the U.S. want change stop giving every president two terms and stop voting for the same two parties. When the average person stops paying attention to the government's actions is when we lose control.

      Von Baithoven With the advancements of technology, we as a specie can produce everything in abundance. Robots can fill a can of beans or make a pair of shoes, faster than a human ANY day of the week. Yhey can run in the dark, hot, cold, and they wont ask for raises or breaks. If it does break, It takes 2 people to fix it.
      Autonomous Uber services and you wont need to own a car. Prefabbed houses can be built in 3 days, plug and play almost.
      Embrace the tools of automation and let them take ALL the mundane and dangerous, repetitive work.
      Now, its a question of how do we make money in the future? Better know how to fix, program, or greese robots, or youll be serving food. Wait, automated kioske at McDs and Wendys. Well you could always become a banker. Theres job security in producing debt, until Capitalism implodes on itself.
      Maybe you should get your head out of the economics books and start making a world that your grandchildren will thank you for.
      Future generations will look back at us and say... " didnt you know you were destroying the planet with your cyclical consumerism and planned obsolescence? "
      And the horror movie will be the history books.

    • @standupforgood7810
      @standupforgood7810 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Von Baithoven Im agree with abolishing Politics. Decisions are made based on opinions of what needs to happen with society. Usually, whoever is putting the most money in their pockets. They dont know how to fix anything, so they pass another law.
      You will see talk of a UBI (Universal Basic Income ) being implemented. A "automation" check, because of all the list jobs coming. But, thats a band aid on a bleeding artery of debt. Landlords and bread will eat that up in 10 years, and we'll be right back at where we started... In Debt at different levels.
      A Resource Based Economy has worked before. WWII and the race to the moon. A blank check was given to these endevors, meaning, any resources that were needed were made available.
      Research... The Zeitgeist Movement : Addendum (pt.2 of 3) & Moving Forward (pt. 3) is good also.
      They're takin our jerbs !!!

      ***** It's probably not a disease but a genetic mutation. There's a guy I used to know that had it

    • @MrNono408
      @MrNono408 9 ปีที่แล้ว +34

      Lillith's Vampires It's a rare, recessive gene, called heterochromia, hetero meaning two, chromia meaning color. There are different kinds of it, like sectoral heterochromia where your eyes look similar to a pie chart.

    • @bretthiller4353
      @bretthiller4353 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Lillith's Vampires Like the other guy said, it's actually a gene. There's heterochromia iridis which makes both eyes multiple colors, and complete heterochromia (Which is what Tim has) that makes your two eyes different solid colors. (I believe it can also affect you hair in the same way. )

    MAY 2020 - THIS SONG WAS WRITTEN FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS. .. "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable." - JFK .. to the sound of a heartbeat pounding away to the rhythm of the awful rusted machines.. we toss and turn but don't sleep, each breath we take makes us thieves.. we don't live , we just survive.. we wait to reap what we are due .. to the rhythm of a time bomb ticking away .. look now at what they've done to you .. the engine roars and then it gives but never dies cuz we don't live we just survive on the scraps that you throw away .. i won't crawl on my knees for you, i won't believe the lies that hide the truth . i won't sweat one more drop for you. cuz we are the rust upon your gears, we are the insect in your ears.. under this sky no longer blue, we bring the dawn long over due, we crawl all over you.

    I was Radicalized in 2004 when my 18 year old friends who couldn't afford College and had no hope were going to fight a stupid Imperialist never-ending war so they may have a shot at some kind of life. This Radicalization was cemented in the 2008-2009 collapse as an adult after College who had debt and couldn't pretend to afford to live. I survived to become stable, many others didn't. Any younger people who are here that are getting Radicalized under the current reality (still the same today) in America - know that we're still here - we're with you. Push for change. Fight for it.
