  • E. De Curtis - D. Furnò, "NON TI SCORDAR DI ME"
    LUCIO LUPOLI, tenore
    (Home Studio Recording, maggio 2024)

Since the great Gigli made this song famous, many tenors have sung it... Deep emotions and sensitivity open the door to the hearts of the listeners, and an attractive timbre won’t do any wrong. These important prerequisites can also be found in this performance! 🌺🌺🌺
    Thanks for sharing! 🙏🍀

The only thing I still wish for is the steadiness of tone in the more „exposed“ parts of the song. But - please forgive me - I realize that you are past your thirties, and I know that this steadiness is hard to achieve when you‘re not a youngster anymore… I still love the sound of your voice and your interpretational skills, the feelings you impart to the lyrics and the music! ❤️
And therefore, I keep returning to your lovely channel with pleasure!

For some years my singing teacher, Mino Campanino, collaborated with the great Beniamino Gigli as a piano accompanist in his Italian concert tours. During the singing lessons, I had the privilege of listening to many stories relating to Gigli's career and his unparalleled vocality. Thanks always for your attention!

I'm well over double my thirties! My operatic debut took place in 1980, when I was twenty-one. Thanks for the support!🙏🙏🙏

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer me! And may I say that you are still in great shape!!!
I really think that the timbre of your voice is extremely appealing, there‘s a warm shine to it that I appreciate very much! Also you seem to sing from the heart, a gift which must come naturally if it‘s supposed to feel and sound true. These are already two very lovely assets!!! What is also palpable is your great love for music and singing… All these things make you a born singer, and it‘s great to learn that you‘ve had a career in opera, because the stage is obviously where you belong.
It must have been an awesome experience to study with the man who accompanied the magnificent Gigli… He has been a favorite of mine since childhood, and my own vocal teacher thought very highly of him! He was one of the singers who made his eyes shine. He himself met quite a deal of well-known singers (and shared their stories; I loved to listen!), but Gigli was not among them…
Treasure your experiences! They are so incredibly valuable!
Warm regards - and see you soon! 🌞🌞🌞
