(which was on Xuxa), and MTM Home Video where Mimsie rewinds the tape. P.S. - Many thanks for omitting the St. Elsewhere series finale variant, that one is saddening to me because I love cats and animals in general.

I've started re-watching my "Mary Tyler Moore" DVD's, and I will NEVER skip ending credits, just because I love seeing that little ginger baby and her sweet little "meow!" I love the variants, too. My favorites are the original (of course), Extra Squeaky Mimsie (the second one in the video), "QUIET!", The St. Elsewhere scrubs, Mimsie catching the baseball, Mimsie rubbing up with the other cat and they're both purring, the "Mimsie Chorus" (I forgot the name of the show!) and Mimsie wearing Steve Allen's glasses and going "Schmuuuuuck!" My favorite non-Mimsie's were Mary Tyler Moore imitating Porky Pig, and the "White Shadow" cat playing basketball. Thank you for not including the final St. Elsewhere Mimsie. I know she died that same year, but what kind of tribute was THAT to her?! But I love the regular St. Elsewhere Mimsie (a kitten wearing surgical scrubs? Yes please!)
So the extremely rare St Elsewhere finale variant is intentionally skipped. On airings and video/streaming releases, it is plastered with the normal St. Elsewhere variant.
I know the one from the St Elsewhere finally wasn’t included but you have to give credit to the MTM team for using such a creative ending logo. Probably my favorite because it summed up the show and Mimsie (who died the same year) so well
That's a good way to watch logo histories - figuring out theme songs in different variations. I still remember some of the theme songs heard in some of the logo captures by memory despite not having watched the shows (nor did I grow up with them, being a 17-year-old who mostly watched Nickelodeon and Disney Junior). For example, I recognize St. Elsewhere, Hill Street Blues, WKRP, Dr Quinn Medicine Woman, and others. I think logos, bumpers, and idents, in general, are what got me sucked deeper into 20th-century stuff.

Was I the only one that was terrified of this as a kid? The font against the black background (something about the 2 red M's I guess?) struck me as very ominous and the cat's meow at the end felt like some odd harbinger of doom. It sounds so silly reading what I just typed that I can't rationally explain it, but I can still recall that fear even though I can watch all these reps of it now. Of all the 'scary' logos from back then though that people make compilation videos about now, nothing got to me more than this.
I love seeing the M zoom away from the camera and split into two M's. I especially like seeing the two T's appear at the top and bottom of the screen and come together to become 1 T.
