Thank you Mr. Spa Guy for sharing your trip to see Elvis' Guitar from Clambake with your friends from France. All of you very lucky to hold one of Elvis' guitars...so cool ! Thanks to Mr. Joe Chambers for sharing this with you and the Elvis fans. Look forward to your videos always. Tighten up. Lord bless.
Lance LeGault is known to Elvis fans as the guy who played tambourine during the 1968 "Comeback" Special, sitting on the stage platform to Elvis' right during the "sit-down" portion of the show. He was also a stunt double for Elvis in the movie Girls Girls Girls, and played minor roles in at least three other Elvis movies. But he's probably more famously known as Col. Decker from the 1980s TV series The A-Team. To this day, when I watch the Comeback Special, I can't help but chuckle that "Col. Decker" is playing the tambourine.
He also was in several episodes of "Battlestar Galactica", "Buck Rogers" and many other classic TV shows. Look him up on IMDB and you will be amazed the body of work he had.
Hi Billy.. thanks for sharing..that was amazing I bet too hold Elvis' guitar..it looked like it was quite a moment for your French friends too!.. thanks again!.. your friend Bonnie
Love your channel!!! I’m a lifelong Elvis fan! I’m 42 and was born on August 17, 1976 and of course Elvis died August 16, 1977 (The day before my 1st Birthday) so Elvis has ALWAYS been a part of my life! I remember getting Elvis collector dolls for some of my earliest birthdays! Lol. Keep up the amazing work! 👍👍
Michael Woodard .. Hey Michael, I hope you still have those Elvis Dolls. They are collectors items now. I have an entire walk-in closet full of Elvis paraphernalia. I’m soon to be 62 and my life has always been full of Elvis. I think it is wonderful that Elvis has fans of all different ages even now 41 years after his passing. Like Ashley Drew in her early 20s and you 42, me 62 and my mom who is 82! There will never be another Elvis. He will be loved as long as the earth 🌏 exists. God bless you Michael. TCB⚡️
Wow fantastic.these guys were so exciting and have some great stories for there friends in France.beautiful Billy.and thanks to joe chambers for sharing.amazing feeling I’m sure of that. Well done as always xx 🇬🇧 uk
That looks very nice I love the movie Clambake and I also love the song Best Elvis movie from the 60s I didn't know they displayed that guitar I would have loved to see that I love Clambake and the other things look nice Thanks Billy
I think it was Jerry Reed that told a story about an Elvis movie being filmed riding a motorcycle. He was to be singing a song while riding. After a few takes he told the director he wanted to add a guitar part to the song. The director asked, "where are you going to put that guitar on a motorcycle?" Elvis replied, "the same dang place where you put that horn section!!" Lol. Tighten up Spa Guy!
The actual story is Elvis wanted the Jordanaires to sing on the chorus of Wheels On My Heels when he was recording the Roustabout soundtrack and the director stopped him and told him he didn't understand where the song was in the movie Elvis was driving down the road on a motorcyle so where would the voices be? Elvis said same place as the band. If you listen to the recording the Jordanaires don't feature on the chorus so the director stopped Elvis doing what he wanted..so it's a funny story it also how Elvis was compromised by Hollywood...even in the recording studio for the soundtracks.
WOW!!!!! Billy, this is so awesome!!!! I am such a big, Elvis fan. To see this guitar, from the movie Clambake. Means so much to me. I am such a big fan, of you as well. Thank you, for all that you do. God bless you Billy!!!!!
Elvis Presley's Red Jacket with White Stripe from Speedway can be seen at Newbridge Silverware Museum of Style Icons, Newbridge, County Kildare Ireland.
Amei este vídeo. Fiquei mui emocionada. Tudo que se refere ao Elvis, toca meu ♡. Obrigada SPA GUY. Só fiquei na dúvida se o famoso Stúdio B, onde o Elvis gostava de gravar, é o mesmo Estúdo da San Records.
Spa Guy I just love your videos! Have you ever done a video about Goldsmith's Department Store where Priscilla bought some of her clothes and furnishings for Graceland? I don't know much about it and was just curious. Hope you have a Merry Christmas!
Being an Elvis geek I guess who owned the Clambake guitar when he said he was Elvis double and choreographer. Lance LeGault what people don't know about Lance is that he was a highly respected stage actor in England. He did Shakespeare and stuff like that.
A little story about that guitar: A Fender Electric XII 12 string guitar used by Elvis Presley in the 1967 film Clambake was sold as one of the major highlights of a December 1-2, 2015, auction in Beverly Hills. The guitar, which was also used to record the title track of the film, sold for $35,200. The 12-string in Lake Placid blue was played by Elvis in the last of his four films for United Artists, which was also the last film in which he was able to command a $1m+ salary. The film performed poorly at the box office, prompting studios to prove unwilling to give him more than seven figures in future commitments. The guitar was given to actor Lance LeGault by Leo Fender in 1966, and LeGault brought it to the set of Clambake for Elvis to play. LeGault had been Elvis' stunt double in his earlier films. When performing the title song, Elvis retrieved the guitar and played it. Also Jimmy Page and Tom Petty used one of those to record with. Those guitars are fairly rare and cost about $3000-4000 today.
Lance Legault...also was a body double for Elvis in Kissin' Cousins... And..he's also seen in the '68 special..in the 'unplugged' segment...sitting around the edge...He may have a tamberine on that...Face and hair looks noting like Elvis.. Blonde hair.
@@SpaGuy well it was still awesome....maybe when I go (I'll have my hair dyed and sideburns done... I'm a former E impersonator ) maybe they will do it for me. Either way I love your videos
Major league jealous here buddy. Very happy for you though 👍. And for those that don’t know Lance LeGault was at the 68 comeback, he can be seen in the leather suit jam session and he was among other things in the original Magnum PI series as the Marine Corp Colonel that was always on Tom Sellecks bad side.
That's funny... I didn't realize he also played a Colonel on Magnum P.I. in addition to playing a Colonel on The A-Team. I guess he just had the right look.
I know this is off topic! But several of us are curious about exactly how many bedrms are in Graceland? I saw a drawing that showed what looked like 2 or 3 off the kitchen area? An if you might know if there was another bathrm downstairs other than in Vernon & Gladis bedrm? How many bathrms total inside Graceland? An upstairs where was Lisa Marie's bedrms located? Thank you!
I TRY TO WACH VIDEOS U PUT OUT BUT THEIR IS A BAD THING THAT I HATE AN TRY TO HIDE IS THE EMOTIONAL PART SOMETIMES I CANT WATCH A FULL VIDEO OF HIM ITS WEIRD AND HARD TO EXPLAIN BUT I THINK YOU UNDERSTAND THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO PLEAS DON'T STOP
It is real and playable and is a One Of a Kind meaning it is the only one of it's kind made by Leo Fender.. I strummed it but the strings were dead and of course it is out of tune..
Billy.....Thank you for answering me. What does it mean when the "strings are dead"? If it is a Fender then it is worth a lot of money , even more so since Elvis used it in a movie. Did it play and make sound in the movie? God Bless you brother Love your videos
