I ain't gonna lie, I dipped my toes into the Middle Eastern Brand/clone game starting during the Pandemic in 2020, I remember getting 5 Lattafa frags from Fragbuy for 25$ each during the Christmas sale, that order consisted of original blends from Lattafa, which were very strong, lots of oud and just an overall bang for your buck, then when the clones started coming out soon after, I got several, Kismet Angel, Tobacco Touch, Avant, Exclusif Tabac, Tabac, Khamrah ( I actually got my hands on a couple bottles of Khamrah several weeks before they came out on discounters, I paid a little more for them but it was worth it ) and my favorite of them all....Lattafa ana abiyedh rouge, spray that shit in your beard after your morning shower before work, shit acts like an oil and just sticks to your beard hair lol, I have a haircut exactly like Tom Ford, same thickness of hair on beard and head, and you lather yourself in ana abiyedh rouge, I contemplated buying a 200ml MFK BR540, but I have like 10 backups of ana abiyedh rouge lol. The other side of my collection is different, I was lucky enough to catch the very tail end of the good old days when you could get really rare and sought after frags in hindsight, I have 6 backups of Pure Malt, Havane, Tonka, 2 backups of Pure Chili, Pure Leather, got 6 backups of Gaultier2, got 2 backups of Gucci Pour Homme 2, 2 backups of Paco Rabanne Prive 1 Million, a bunch of vintage batch La Nuit De Lhomme's, Clones are good, but compared to actual frags, and not just carbon copies of frags, frags like Boucheron Ambre D'Alexandrie is a masterpiece, Rosendo Mateu n5 is perfection, reminds me of when I use to get Play doh at Christmas time as a kid, none of those Alhambra of Lattafa ever did that for me, except ana abiyedh rouge, I was never interested in BR540, I was into gourmands, liquor's, tobacco, amberwood, ambergris type stuff, I knew ana abiyedh rouge had that BR540 smell, but once I smelled it I immediately started laughing out loud lol, it was that good, I never had any intentions on getting BR540 too lol, that is why I love clones, the contract clones and real frags have, make you appreciate both side of the isle, Another great one is Kismet Angel, I have 1 backup of Angel's Share, as soon as I saw the notes for Angel's Share, my dick got hard lol, each note was perfect on paper, I had hoped I didn't have to pay allot for it when it came out cause I had no Idea how much it was but I knew it was going to be well over 200$I got a full bottle from a lady in the fragrance community and It smelled exactly like I had expected it to smell like, Kismet Angel does an excellent job replicating Angel's Share, once I went to Walmart at 7am on my day off, and I passed these two ladies in the cereal isle where I was picking up oatmeal for work, and we met a few isle over a few minutes after and they both come up to me, saying I smell really good, smiles and walks away, I legit sprayed a tiny spritz on my chin cause I was only going out for like maybe 30 mins, and I wasn't there for 10 mins and got a compliment lol, clones definitely have their place in the frag world, no doubt, its just once you have spent time buying and wearing for a few years, you kind of get over it, sort of like a fad.
