I really liked the Sakura song at 14:18 inside Vasanta Pallavi. Very aptly placed and executed!

      Thanks for your comment.
SAKURA=Cherry blossom is one of japanese Floral emblem.
I think ,This song is a beautiful fusion of India and Japan.
FYI, the another floral is the chrysanthemum.
We have two beautiful symbol flowers.

+Rada T I completely agree! Plus, sakura is also the symbol of spring which melds well with the pallavi (Vasanta = spring). For those readers interested in the meaning and abhinaya that went with the sakura song: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sakura_Sakura
Also, as a reference, as far as I can tell, the original tune of the sakura song (In scale) shares the same five notes as Raga/m Gunkali/Karnataka Shuddha Saveri.

It's interesting story, is that there is a common denominator in the Indian raga and sakura song.

Why is there a Taj Mahal in back ground ... makes no sense. Where is the connection? ?? Even Taj Mahal is far away from the state orissa china is much closer 😂 Also Odissi dance in performed in Temple! !

No, leave it to us Indians please. How would you feel if a bunch of Indians wore a Kimono and did a Buyō dance - Japan already has a rich culture and heritage, be proud of it and stop trying to steal ours!

A Zulekha Stop giving such pointless comments, today is world of sharing. If they are doing indian dance with all correct rules without merging it with kimono, i am satisfied by their dancing.

If you are true Indian, you would not say this....you should appreciate them for taking interest in our culture and learned it...has any foreigner stopped you from wearing western clothes ?

Do you know anything or just blabbering ? Odisha and South East Asia / East Asia has so much mixed culture from centuries . That's why Japan has so many of Odissi dancers . Hinduism and Shintoism both have so much commonality . Also Japan played major role in rmodern day Indian infra project and economic development . Specially Shinzo Abe the former Prime minister of Japan . So if you don't like it then don't watch and degrade the very valuable foreign relation India has with Japan . It's one of the few countries which stood by India everytime . Others are France, Israel and former Soviet Union , Belgium , Brazil and few more .
