For anyone who doesn't know the history behind this song,this is called the "Aaronic Blessing" God he wrote it as a promise to his children. The reason these words are so special is because they are directly from God to us. Every word is for the children of Israel

I want to try to explain it to you Leonardo, Each time you listen to an 'anointed' song, you will not hear the same drumming patterns, the same guitar rips, the same as one to the other.
This is because when the Holy Spirit takes over, people playing the instruments, including voice as an instrument, we will be free and all added stuff and different patterns are all a gift from God. We know not the power of God, but we desire it to be Him within us, not to be done in our strength but in all things we do it to honour Him and bring and give Him the Glory. It becomes a Spiritual Worship unto Our Lord and it speaks to the heart and soul of those playing and listening. The presence of the Holy Spirit is like nothing you can ever experience elsewhere through anything else. But we the Musicians are to lead the army into battle, as the trumpets sound, we go to battle. These songs are our battle anthems. It breaks through darkness, disease, addictions.... What you hear is a very young drummer being lead by the Holy Spirit, and you will hear things miraculous. There's no other place like it.' The feeling it' you spoke of is the presence of God. Its like incense filling the room. You wouldn't know just how much this feeling is the greatest place to be. Leonardo, as a non Christian, you have a great sense of music technically and emotionally, but you still have NO IDEA !

It's repetitive because it's a worship song and it was more for the building up of others. I love that God is reaching out to you through music. I think it's easier to react to the studio versions when actual "grading" the music. One thing I do find interesting is that Christian vocalist are usually great and there isn't the vast difference in person as when one goes to secular concerts and the artist sing off key, lol! For me, the repetitive lyrics are the most inspirational aspect of this song. Being scriptural, they are repeating a blessing over whoever is receiving it. I believe Gods Spirit uses this in the believers heart to heal and inspire. It has most certainly done that for me. To watch this person receiving the essence of this blessing is just lovely. That is what happens in Church when the Holy Spirit comes in. So if they sang that song at a concert or something it will not be as repetitive. You just go where the Spirit leads.

Leonardo, listen to this again and just let the Word of God reach deep down into your soul because what you heard over and over and over "that He is for you" is the essence of our God. Pastor Furtick the gentleman with the beard and gray coat is the church pastor, a church in my hometown of Charlotte, NC. For Christians with all this Covid stuff going on we sometimes need to be reminded that He is for us and if He if for us, who can be against us. It is straight from the Word of God and should remind believers that we are never, ever alone, because He is for us and with us no matter where we are going or what we are doing. This has become a rallying song around the world in a short time. Listen to The Blessing Australia when you can because singers from 300 churches around that nation get together to sing this song and blessing their nation by doing so. You will recognize Taya and many of the Hillsong Worship leaders involved as well as other churches who minister to the Lord with praise. The Lord loves the praises of His people and this is exactly what you were seeing. That place was filled with the presence of the Holy Ghost. You could see the tears from one of the young people singing and the many others worshiping as they sing. Those were tears of joy that this old retired US Army combat veteran sheds in His presence unashamedly. I consider myself a tough guy when needed due to life's experiences in combat and later on in life but in His presence, I am so so blessed. For those of use who have experience this presence, it is better than any drug, food, money or anything you can think of because it will nourish your soul and spirit. Cody Caranes is one of the best song writers out and his wife Kari is is such a special singer. Both very anointed. As someone who struggles with their faith Cody is someone I always come back to cause his music as a bit of pop sound to them but with moving lyrics about our savior Jesus. Both are so special.

Yes, exactly this Leo! I was happy you were honest! It *is* repetitive, (not in a bad way to me, I think it's powerful) but we are watching because we like to see & hear YOUR reaction to it. I think you should have actually left it four star on the lyrics and also four star on the music because both were repetitive, though the music had extras with the drums.

The repetitiveness of this song is because it is meant to be easily learned and sung by the congregation of their church. Our church sings songs the same way.
Worship songs really do have all the great singers. Thank the Lord! Amen!
For that particular version of the blessing, it was the debut and it was the live recording. Any time that there is a live recording, there is a good chance they are going to repeat the bridge another 10 times or they will get to the ending of the song and not stop singing it and go back to the bridge/chorus and repeat that. This is almost guaranteed if the crowd/performers are really feeling the Presence during that song because they won't want to loose that connection. The Presence of God is more addicting than any drug and once you've felt it you generally crave more of it. So whatever you were doing that lead to that feeling, most people will repeat to keep that feeling. Heck, sometimes the crowd will keep the song going and the performers will just abide by the crowd's wishes.
Your willingness to listen to this music shows that your heart is open and searching. This is a very good sign. Jesus is the answer you are looking for.
I've been listening to this song almost every day since mid March when quarantine started. I never get sick of it. I've shared it with many people who feel moved by it as well.
I feel like this song is utterly circular, it has no beginning or end. It can go on and on, yes, making it repetitive, but that reflects God and his love for us which has no end - it goes on and on and he repeatedly communicates this to us although we’re slow to listen and accept - it never ends.

I understand what you mean about it being repetitive and you’re right in saying that it was probably because of the lyrics. This is because the song was about them speaking blessings over people and blessing them with God’s favour and presence especially the part about generations and family because the Bible speaks of generational blessings. Loved the reaction though! If you could I would love to see your reaction to some black gospel artists as well maybe like Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett or Tasha Cobbs.

Even tho he’s not Christain, the Holy Spirit is moving in him. I love the appreciation for worship music and the goodness in his heart! He seems like and awesome guy, who enjoys good Christain music and I’m glad he appreciates the goodness that is in Christianity even if he doesn’t associate with claimed Christain’s. He’s appreciating Christain culture and I love seeing Gods goodness in him! God is good!
I know this video is a couple of years old, but we sang this song over my dad as passed away in ICU from COVID-19 on Sept 13, 2021 at 3:15pm. It was a Sunday, and we worshipped as my dad went to heaven. This is one of his favorite songs and his granddaughter sang it at his funeral. My dad came to Christ at an older age. His greatest hope was to leave a legacy of his kids knowing and serving God. He loved his family with all his heart. He was my very best friend and I miss him every single day.
Some wonder why the word Amen is sung so much. It is a declaration of "Make it so, God."

I think it's crazy that they wrote that song Thursday and played it so well on Sunday. This is (to my knowledge) the first recording of this song and it's my absolute favorite. So raw and real. And so much of what the musicians are doing is waiting for their cue from the worship leaders. They don't know how many times they will repeat until the moment is there. And then the pastor getting up on stage at the end and he gets them going again. It's such a beautiful example of an excellent worship team working together with the Holy Spirit to lead the congregation on a musical journey into His presence. I love this! You should listen to Steffanie Gretzinger. Her song I’m in love with is ‘No One Ever Cared for Me Like Jesus’. It’s a piano only but the lyrics and emotion behind her anointed voice is so beautiful.
I love steffany! I would sing letting go at church and people would be like who’s song is that? I’m like it’s Steffany Gretzinger! A lot of people started listening to her and I also love Amanda Cook ❤️ Both are so anointed it’s a beautiful gift.
I remember the first time I heard this song - I was playing it with the band at my church (I play piano, but I generally play in our more traditional worship service, with a choir and orchestra) We combined the choir, orchestra and band for this. It just choked me up and left me in tears, playing this song….. it was our first service back to in-person Worship after the Covid lockdown…. So very powerful.

The first time I heard this song was on a cold, miserable day in a graveyard, standing in front of the open grave of my brother-in-law. His daughter Hannah ( he had 7 daughters and 1 son) stepped forward and sang this song from her heart. What a testimony of the Christian faith and it's powers over death! The misery of winters curse was lifted as she sang, and we felt the warmth of the Father's embrace around this man's family.

Just saw elevation worship live last weekend and this song live. I just felt Gods presence all around that arena! I have felt the presence of God before but there’s something about being around that many other people that are feeling it too! Absolutely amazing song!

I agree about the repetitiveness in this, however I think the original recording doesn't seem that way as much. I hope u got a chance to hear the original. Any "live" worship music has an element of non predictive but at the same time "repetitiveness" of each song or melody or word. I never thought about it until now, but as a believer in Christ I wld describe it is an extended time of meditation, Holy Spirit "vibes" that happens when the ending or in the middle of it, there's opportunity to let the spirit/God/Jesus, lead u into spiritual connection with him that is personal, that u can't always get in a group, when ur consentrating more on the musicality! I'm SO excited to be on this journey with u & finding new things about music & how/why it's created in & through us!!!! I love learning new things on an "accident". Now I know why I found this channel, blessings!

I was excited for you to hear this, but as I watched I realized that if you do not accept the Holy Spirit.... lets just say, there's just something we're getting from this that you are not.... if you don't accept the blessing from God Himself, you will not full experience this song for which it is intended.
