May 2014 I went to WDW for the first and stayed at French Quarter for 5 days. I was so sick of the damn banjo music and announcements we entered each park by the end of the week but now when I hear it I get tears in my eyes. I want to go back so bad! Thanks for this audio!
Nah. Not silly at all. I agree 100%. That's why I recorded the announcements in the first place. Just to play them back later. This video idea came later. You know - that might be a cool ringtone: "Hello everyone. And welcome aboard ..." Lol
+K W it did for me. One of the princess belle's in the enchanted tales with belle attraction called me cute (I'm 13) and I was confused. (I was there because my 4 year old sister wanted to go) but I had a blast! The you for the memories
That is an awesome memory! No matter how old you are when you walk into WDW you're always a kid at heart! Rapunzel flirted with me once and I still haven't quit talking about it. Glad you enjoyed the video.
You are quite welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully it will at least help until you go back and ease that Disney depression!! We're finally going back in January and can't wait. Love your TH-cam name, by the way!
Multiple resort buses: "...And now, we invite you to relax and let us do the driving. You'll be home soon." (Announcement played after leaving a theme park, water park, or Disney Springs)
It still has the same effect on me!!! I just heard that Arneil (the awesome greeter there at FQ) retired today. Now when I watch this I’m even sadder!! I wish I’d have included him in the video.
Cannot thank you enough for posting this Audio and Video, something about hearing the Mickey Mouse Club fanfare as you make that left turn that gives me chills!
Right! Agreed 100%!! Glad you enjoyed the trip down Memory Lane! (or should I say Magical Lane??). I was really sad when they stopped playing that fanfare, and I have no idea why they did. It always made the kiddos faces light up (ok .. and mine) because you knew it was time! It just set the mood for the whole day.
Thank you for bringing back so much memories of my first visit to WDW:) can't wait to go back. We try other resorts after but I think th pofq will always be my favorite
That would be Port Orleans French Quarter. You will also often see POR, which stands for Port Orleans Riverside. They are both nice and very close to each other.
This is so nostalgic damn. I stayed at French Quarter last December, and even though i may never stay there again, the hotel was amazing and the music they play in the bus unlocks so many memories. Thanks for this video 👍
I stayed at this resort, very nice! Thank you so much for uploading this. I spent my honeymoon here for 9 days this past November. my husband and I absolutely adored the bus announcements to and from resorts and parks :) want to be back there right now!!
So glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching it and for taking the time to comment. And congrats on the recent marriage! We were actually at POFQ this past November, as well. (5th to the 15th). I love this resort.
I agree, Daniel. Not sure why they changed it. Plus I always enjoyed the "Mickey Mouse March" they would play as the bus was pulling into Magic Kingdom. Last time I was there that no longer played, either. I was kinda sad about that!
+Biggest Disnerd Ever! - it's a different narrator. He basically says the same thing. But why they changed it, I'm not sure. The biggest bummer for me was not hearing the Mickey Mouse March as you turn into Magic Kingdom. Glad I recorded them all, at least!
So we just got back. They changed the announcements a little bit for The Christmas Holidays. Hopefully all will go back to normal after December. But what a great trip!!!!!!!
This song is a version of "Please, Baby" by Reverend Gary Davis. I love hearing this while on the bus or boats. It really does fit the mood of Port Orleans! ❤
I agree 100%! It definitely adds to the magic of French Quarter. FYI - at about the 4 minute mark I switch to a different song (also by Gary Davis) that you may also recognize from the resort!!! I love them both. He was a talented guitarist with a killer unique style.
You say that the switch occurs at the 4 minute mark, but this video is only just a few seconds longer than 4 minutes...so I assume you mean at about the 3 minute mark. If so, can you please identify the title of that song? That is the song I most identify with the Port Orleans bus and have been looking for a clean version, free of background noise for several years. I figured it was Reverend Gary Davis (the style is consistent), but haven't been able to find it by listening to his repertoire.
+Craig Walls - yes it is the 3 minute mark, my apologies. And that song is called Cincinnati Flow Rag. And it is indeed by the Rev Gary Davis. Great stuff!!
Replacing the voice for the announcer was bad enough but no longer hearing the mickey fanfare when pulling into magic kingdom makes me want to throw hands
I agree 100%. I remember the first time we made that turn and ... no trumpets! We were all like ... "WTH? Why?" It made zero sense. It felt so "Disney" when you heard that for the first time each trip. Well, I hope my video at least brought back a fond memory for you. But when you're ready to throw hands I'm right there with ya. I got your back.
+Logan Cascio yes I really mean it! I watched some trailers with his voice in, but I soon realised that it was his voice at all, the generic voice I mentioned was Bill Rodgers, so it's sounds a little bit similar for two actors swapping roles for disney transport buses and monorail tour guide for Magic Kingdom and Epcot. anyway the memories of the actors can be seen on this site here. typing in disney transport announcer and monorail announcer should have done it. anyway thanks for replying!
I noticed the same thing last trip. I was kinda sad about it. And when the bus pulls into Magic Kingdom it didn't even play the "Mickey Mouse March" that you hear in my video. I always loved that. It was like I knew I was finally home".
As far as I know, yes. The video is all mine (with the exception of, I think 3 still photos that were Disney's) and the audio is all Disney's. But since they haven't muted my video (yet) I presume you're free to use it.
Both songs in the video are by a guitarist/ singer named Rev. Gary Davis (born 1896, died 1972). The first is called "Please, Baby" and the second is called "Cincinnati Flow Rag". Both can be found right here on TH-cam, as well as Amazon (many of his old albums). An amazing talent and a soulful style that, unfortunately, is likely gone forever. Good luck!
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. And I feel the same way - every time I rewatch it takes me back to actually being there and recording it all. Good memories, for sure.
@@harlont French Quarter has always been me and my wifes favorite place to stay. We did on our honeymoon and the other 5 times we went. We have special memories there and the bus, so this is very special. Unfortunately, my kidney failure got much worse and was out on dialysis and knew there was a chance I could never go back. I was so afraid of never going back due to dialysis or dying from it. It would take a miracle and I actually received that miracle. I received a kidney transplant from my WIFE, my French Quarter partner and best friend. She said she couldn't stand the thought of us not ever going back, so she stepped up and saved my life. ❤
@@stevewinfree1828 - man what an amazing story (and an amazing wife). God bless you, my man. Here's to many more magical trips to FQ!! Thanks for sharing that.

Isn't it weird how fun it is to hear that guy talk on the buses and monorail etc. Makes you feel like you are there again. Silly.
Nah. Not silly at all. I agree 100%. That's why I recorded the announcements in the first place. Just to play them back later. This video idea came later. You know - that might be a cool ringtone: "Hello everyone. And welcome aboard ..." Lol

Multiple resort buses: "...And now, we invite you to relax and let us do the driving. You'll be home soon." (Announcement played after leaving a theme park, water park, or Disney Springs)
+Mahuna dog Yup - I have heard that same message! Thanks for reminding me of that one. Brings back great memories.
I loved that one! Prob my favorite announcement
listening to this on the way home after a week long stay at french quarter & this is honestly making my cry right now ❤️

That is crazy. Bet we rode the bus together. I was the good looking guy with a Texas accent!! Lol
+K W Hahaha I bet we sure did!
I have been home for a couple of days from Disney. Very relaxing music to and from the parks, especially if you had a busy day.
I agree 100%. And I always miss it when I get home! Thanks for watching the video. Hope you enjoyed it!
So upset they changed the narrator guy! This voice shall forever be the WDW transportation voice!
I agree, Daniel. Not sure why they changed it. Plus I always enjoyed the "Mickey Mouse March" they would play as the bus was pulling into Magic Kingdom. Last time I was there that no longer played, either. I was kinda sad about that!
Daniel J. Turrell NOOO! What does the voice sound like now?! 😣

They changed it because the other guy that used to do the monorail and the buses died. :(
Tim M same
Thanks for this. Nice reminder of my honeymoon.
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it.
I went hear in 27th july 2018 its what made magic magic its the best place ever🏖🏖🏖🏖

As is usual...the moment I ask a question, I find the answer myself!
I found "Slow Drag (Cincinnati Flow Rag)" to be the title I was looking for.
Haha. No problem.
I just want to repeat my whole WDW vacation 😭😭
I know the feeling!! We're going back in December and can't wait. Hope this little video gave you a nice memory!
K W Yes it brought back so much. We are going on a cruise in May.
That will be so much fun. I've never been - but one of these days!! Have a great time!

Bus 2421 at the bus station. BNZ 5339 / 2421 (DB2421).
I think the monorail announcer and bus announcer swapped after last year. Someone Cummings now voices the monorail now wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
You mean Jim Cummings?
+Logan Cascio yes I really mean it! Jim Cummings also voices a lot of different characters including Winnie the Pooh and Tigger too!
The new buses have a differnt voice and I don't like it
Some never even put it on

The announcer sounds like Patrick Warburton/Joe Swanson
bruh good thing im going there in 3 weeks for vacation or i would die
I'm jealous! Hope you have a blast. I'm going in December. Five loooong months from now.
