Wow, love it ,
Thanks honey. Glad you liked it xx
Absolutely amazing Gail, love this and guess alcohol inks will be out today...xx
Aww thanks Annie, I'm glad you like it. I am so into the Alcohol inks at the moment - they're addictive. More videos to come xx
Wow Gail this is absolutely amazing 😍😮 I'm just currently dipping my toes into mixed media and this is so very inspirational, I love the stencils you used 😍 I loved this video thank you so much for sharing this 🙏💖🤗
Aww Diane, thank you so much. Such kind words! And do you know what...it's not that tricky once you've had a bit of a practise. The stencils are some of my favourites. Please do have a look around at my other tutorials and consider subscribing if you haven't already...lots more mixed media to come. Gail xx
@@gailjuliemakes I have been subscribed for a little while but I forgot to click on the bell for all notifications so I have some catching up to do, which I am really looking forward to 😀 I need to stock up on some supplies now to really get going with MM 🤣tanks again Gail 🙏💖🤗
Nice.. a tip.. if you leave the stencil on the canvas and leave the alcohol ink to dry a little it will give a better pattern.
Ellie, thanks for that. I have another video where I dry it with a heat tool (at a distance) through the stencil. if you want to check that out. It leaves lovely fine detail as you say. I'm always learning as I go. I don't tend to have time to dry things naturally when filming but I am sure it looks just as good. I'm glad you like the video. Gail xx
@@gailjuliemakes I've seen the other video after this one... yes.. filming and drying is always a thingy :)
@@EKsunny-d3u especially when you are clumsy like me and keep knocking your stencil out of place. I'm too lazy to tape them down. He he xx
Very cool. Love those waxes. That straight edge of the rice paper kinda bugs me tho. 🤔maybe a more ragged edge would blend it in more? Really a lovely technique. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it and yes, the waxes are amazing! I know what you mean about the rice paper but I'm kinda liking it now because I see it as the edge of the throne she is sitting on (that's what I'm sticking with anyway...he he). Tearing more raggedly would definitely work though. I find it's sometimes difficult to notice these things while filming but if you leave the piece for a while and come back to it... Xx
