Thank you again and again!! I hear you. I see a lot of edits where people don't match up the rhythm to the video clip. It just looks like they just through a whole bunch of random stuff together. I try to do things that people haven't already done. I must go through hundreds of songs until I find the right song for that character. I always try to challenge myself to do something different and to be creative.
Illusive Man I feel that. I try my best to be original too, and to do justice to every song I use. There's nothing more painful, as an editor, than to see songs with potential wasted on lazy or just plain unfitting edits.
There was an edit that I saw about a week ago, that was just bad. It was a good song, but it was a mess to look at. The person mentioned how proud they were how it turned out, and I wanted to say something, but I didn't want to hurt their feelings. Now I remember when I first started. My edits weren't the greatest, and I still know I have much to learn to become a good editor, and with those two reasons I didn't say anything. Going back to the right song choices. I'm working on my next edit and I have a great song that's catchy, and it's not over used too. However, I'm getting really frustrated working on it because I have no great idea how I'm going to put it together. I'm not going to waist this song and put a bunch of random video clips together. So it's going to go on my waiting list until I spark an idea. Sorry for the long comment. When I start talking about editing, I kind of can't shut myself up haha.
It was neat how you cycled through the art of each character to the beat of the song! :-)
Thanks! That's my favorite part :) I'm glad that you like that part too! When I heard this song, I knew that's what I had to do.
Illusive Man Yeah, it was neat. :-) As a fellow editor, I like to see AMV creators take control of the song!
Thank you again and again!!
