Tbh I’ve never seen or heard about this music video at all, I’ve never heard of “Dead Bones”until you showed this to me. The art style and animation looks nice and aged well for the 2000s, now “this” beats “All The Single Furries” by miles. This actually is a classic. At times the song reminds me of “Numa Numa” or the song from Eiffel 65 “I’m Blu”. This truly is nostalgic and a piece of history Ash.
I've always thought of "The Furry Song" by Kurrel The Raven as the furry anthem. I like the 2009 version, but the first version of that song is apparently from 2001 (I didn't find the fandom until 2013). It's very cool to see another of these types of songs. I can relate the the fondness over the newgrounds days. I remember playing games on miniclip and armor games, watching animations on newgrounds, and going to odd websites my dad showed me. And playing a bunch of Worms 2.

Damn. I remember enjoying that one quite a lot! Super catchy and danceable. It's a shame that the creator seems to have a bit of a negative viewpoint of furry fandom. Granted of course it's not for everyone. I never really thought of it as an anthem but it completely makes sense. It was great to be reminded of it again!
I think contextually its important to remember that there was a very negative view on furries at that time which could be the reason behind not wanting to be seen as one.

There is one song that, because of Confuzzled, has kind of become a furry anthem for me however: Nightwish, 'Over The Hills and Far Away'.
Its like The Beast (a capitalist critique song) ended up in The Collector (horror movie), but I am glad I found Nico Vega thru it, long before the Bioshock Infinite trailer used it more aptly.

I never knew it became this influential because I'm not that in touch with much of the local fandom (because they're based a little too far away for my travel range). My extent of interaction with the fandom at this time was exclusively small pockets of the Internet. 5:19 - I know a community hall in my area that uses these tables, they're quite solid despite how they look. 5:37 - YOU BROUGHT ME BACK FROM HEAVEN, YOU B*STARD!!! 🤣 9:22 - Having done a lot of research (namely checking all the actors, and the guy who made this song), this chiselled dude in the video is nobody related to the movie at all, and isn't the song's creator either. They just got some weirdly hot actor to dress up and dance.
