Funny I was only thinking today that it was time someone came up with something that was a half way house between a traditional manual and a full CNC. If you look at many many of the manual lathes you can buy today they are still based on old Colchester Triumph 2000 type designs. With modern electronic controls you can get rid of allmost all of the gearboxes and gears. I'd really like something in a Colchester Student size but a good bit more robust.
