  • Pumpkin Custard Dessert: A Sweet Treat Even for Non-Pumpkin Lovers
Here’s a great solution for kids who don't like pumpkin! This dessert combines pumpkin with custard and biscuits, creating a delicious treat that everyone will love. It's practical, easy to make, and perfect for any occasion. Let’s get started with the ingredients!
    Ingredients:
1 kg pumpkin (peeled and chopped)
    1.5 cups of sugar
    Quarter tea glass of water
    1 teaspoon butter
1 cup crushed walnuts or hazelnuts (you can use both mixed)
    1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
150 grams (1 package) petit beurre biscuits (you can also use digestive biscuits)
    1 liter milk
    1 cup flour
    1 cup sugar
    1 tablespoon butter
    1 package vanilla
    1 package whipped cream powder
    1 cup cold milk
    Grated coconut (for topping)
    Recipe:
    1. Put the chopped pumpkins in a pot, add sugar and water. Cover the pot and cook on low heat until the pumpkins soften.
    2. Once the pumpkins are soft, increase the heat to evaporate the water completely. Transfer the pumpkin to a mixing bowl and mash with a potato masher or fork.
    3. Add butter to the mashed pumpkin and mix well. Add crushed walnuts or hazelnuts and cinnamon. If you don't like cinnamon, you can skip it.
    4. Break the biscuits into large pieces and add them to the pumpkin mixture, mix gently. Spread the mixture evenly into a large rectangular glass dish.
    5. For the custard, combine milk, flour, and sugar in a pot, stirring constantly until it boils. Once it boils, lower the heat and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla, beating with a mixer for a few minutes.
    6. Pour the custard over the pumpkin mixture and spread evenly. Place the dessert in the refrigerator to cool completely.
    7. Prepare the whipped cream by beating the whipped cream powder with cold milk until thickened. Spread the whipped cream over the cooled dessert. Sprinkle with grated coconut on top.
    8. Cover the dessert with cling film and refrigerate for at least 3-4 hours, or overnight if possible.
    9. To serve, clean your knife with a paper towel between each cut to get neat slices. Garnish with crushed nuts if desired.
    Tips:
Chop the pumpkins into small pieces for faster cooking.
Stir the custard continuously to avoid lumps.
Letting the dessert sit overnight enhances its flavor.
You can omit cinnamon if you don't prefer it.
Gently mix the biscuits into the pumpkin mixture to maintain the texture.
