  • Yo welcome back to another vid.
    I have installed 15mm wheel spacers front and back, I was going to go 15 front and 20 back but decided against it.
    Sorry there was not much content in this one, I will ensure I make my videos longer.
    Future mods will be:
    upgrading the induction kit
    having the alloys resprayed
    installing a performance exhaust
    remap
    windows tinted
    Will see what else comes :)
    Follow me on instagram: michael.rsmith
    Thank you again for all your support as I am just getting started, much appreciated.

    Gloves my man, gloves!! ;)
    Good video bro, car sits sweet. A little tip: Copper slip can (and in my opinion should) be used on all metal-on-metal surfaces - threads, anywhere the bolt interacts with the alloy/spacers and hub.

      Haha yes indeed missed the gloves! 🤣
      Agreed, I should have added more on the bolt threads ect. That stuff is such a life saver for sure, really makes the world of a difference 💯 glad you like the vid dude, appreciate it! 🙏

      Hey guys, thinking about putting spacers on my Scirocco too. Quick question, is copper grease better to put on bolts than locktite? I can never decide so I just leave it. Oh and where's the best place you've found to get this kit? Ta.

    Good vid bro, car is sitting much better on the spacers. A much stance. One more thing you can do is to remove ur rear windscreen wiper. If u do, I got mine from kill all wipers. It give the rear of the car a much better look. 👍

      Always tighten the wheel when the ground and make sure you do wheel tracking afterwards. As your alignment needs correcting. Should be fine after that 🙏🏼

    @lmh-mv3ec 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi mate, you were running eibach sports line with original DCC suspension in this video, if so how was the ride comfort, did you cut the bump stops? Mine was exactly the same as yours but used eibach prokit which resulted in horrible ride quality and reverted back to stock spring now.

    • @MichaelSmith17
      @MichaelSmith17  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey mate. So I didn't cut the bump stops, I didn't think to do it at the time of the installation. At the moment with just the 30m drop it rides ok but still a bit stiff. Nothing too far from usual, it's an ok ride actually mate. I'm debating now if I should go coilovers to hopefully improve the ride with the right brand. Hope this helps 🙏

      @lmh-mv3ec 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MichaelSmith17 i was in the same dilemma, but i felt that dcc gives the car an option of being luxury yet sporty at a touch, therefore i didn't explore coilover as Blistein w dcc ridecontrols were over my budget. Maybe you could consult gti grp on the type of lowering they done w their dcc shocks. Thanks for the reply and stay safe!

      @MichaelSmith17  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lmh-mv3ec ah yeah I totally feel your pain! I honestly can not afford to pay for coilovers with the DCC, it's so expensive which is a shame as like you say it's a good touch to our cars having the options between modes. I'll let you know what I go for ect and include cost. I'll do a video on it for sure mate. Stay safe too and enjoy the weather 👌🏼

    Looks much better my bru. I think you were right going with 15mm all round. It's looks almost flush with the arch at the rear. I think 20mm would have pushed it outside the arch and would probably be an MOT failure. I need to do this to my car at some point.
