It's not easy dear I am in a relationship from last 6 years from my side but from my partner side it's been 10 years &the girl is me he was in one side love for 5 years & from my side we are together 5 years but this journey is not easy such ups & downs come , sometimes depression & also personal growth in different sectors currier also personal life sometimes it's been painful also want to give up but the last thought will come that if you go to another relationship you have to start again & you have to walk the same steps again & process will be the same & long term relationship feelings will be nearly same so the thought is you know your partners good & bad everything accept it as who he is or who I am & respect it that's the thing that we should be together because we learn lot of things but it's not easy thought such kind of relationship need meditation god's bliss also

I totally agree with Ayush about comfortable silences .... When you're in a long term relationship ...there are so many times when you don't have much to talk about and are doing your own thing even when you're together...that's the best place to be....the best comfort zone...you don't feel obliged to keep the other person entertained...it doesn't mean you don't love that person...infact it means that you love that person a lot ...madly in love.... and soooooo comfortable ... Comforting silences, allowing personal spaces, even when not talking for days but still knowing that the person is your person, being able to share your weaknesses, talking in the eyes, growing separately and respecting that growth, surviving all the fights, learning from them, waiting patiently for the other person to come to your page; knowing the fact that a relationship is not about who is giving in more or less, it is about making it together to 100%, there are times when one person is low and is not in the state to give, the other person has to not fall down to the partner's level, but stay stable and rather bring the partner up; to understanding the fact that love doesn't mean necessarily to say in words, it is the little acts of care and accepting each other wholly, is when a relationship gets mature.
