Or placed it and the editor dropped it incorrectly, dev couldn't find it, assumed it wasn't placed and added it again (correctly). I can almost guarantee almost every open world game has those sorts of mapping anomalies lol I was expecting like, Fallout 4 type of hidden gems that are in the oceans. 😊
@@ian_lewono the map can be loaded with a script that automatically tests the vehicles you choose. Its how the stock vehicles have all their info such as HP, top speed, braking g etc
If a developer is going to be using a lot of an object, they might place a copy of that object somewhere in a sort of makeshift "prop palette" so they can easily ctrl+c it later. That's likely what those underground objects are. Source: I have done this.
I mostly used world editor for this. The only reshade I used was clarity and reallongexposure. As for the world editor, set your graphics setting to ultra, dynamic reflection to 1024px and detail to 1.0, then open the world editor and search for "sunsky". If you are going to be using the bloom slider in photomode to take a screenshot, leave the "sky brightness" as is, or even lower. If you are not going to, bump it up a little bit. Next, look for "sunscale", and use the color palette to find the right shade of color you want, in my case, orange. Underneath that should be "ambient scale", I usually set this to either white or black, and then I set "fog scale" to grey. Under that is "exposure", I usually set that to 2 or 3, and then brightness to 3 or 4. This depends on the map, experiment with the colors, brightness and exposure until you are happy with it. Finally, under "advanced lighting" towards the bottom, set "tex size" to 2048, and mess around with "shadow softness" and "log weight", those also vary from map to map.
I knew all of these ''secrets'' except for, #1, #4, #5. What i'm wondering is: How have you never seen the functioning odometers? lol I don't know how long they've been in the game, but they've been functioning for maybe like 5-6 years *at least* possibly even longer.
#2 is kinda debatable since it's a mod but I wouldn't be surprised if it would still work the same if there were vanilla tires that big (I think it works for the Wydra?) iirc #3 also works for the rest of the car although that may have been a mod
I think #2 works regardless of whether it's a mod or not, I tried something similar with the biggest in game tires on a mod vehicle and it floated for a moment. As for #3, I know the windshield will crack if you go deep enough, but in order for the body to get flattened, the water pressure would need to be really high, in other words, very deep. And I'm not sure if we have a map that goes deep enough to test that.
What would be neat is for eatch model of car trim you drive custom or not each trim would have its own odomiter that Insteed of counting the miles on session insteed counted miles youve driven global. For example the road sport barstow it would universally count miles only on that trim not for the other barstows so you have a good idea on how many wasted miles you have driven your custom trim model
Honestly, I only use really only cause reshade for motion blur, but what would recommend is using clarity, sharpen, one of the hdr presets, and reallongexposure for motion blur

despite half of the video being regular features rather than actual secrets it was quite a nice video, good job

For the random objects under the map, maybe it was some devs seeing how it looked in game and they forgot to delete it.
Maybe...

It does in the 1963 VW beetle mod

I started noticing the odemeters when they added the landsdale
I think it was v0.26 when they added it, so not quite recent. Good catch though!
